sore ligaments

i dont know how to help this problem when i start working out the ligaments behind my knees really hurt(the back of my legs across form th knees) alos my calf on the side really hurt i dont know if i shoud keep exercising i dont want to damage anything but sitting on my buttock dosent help my weight loss or fitness level

please help if you have these problems

I know exactly the area you're describing. I was thinking my pain was due to bad form or over training and after a long time - almost 2 years later I finally had it checked out. Turned out that my knee was very arthritic and all the cartiledge was torn. Suffice it to say that two weeks ago I had it taken cared of and had arthroscopic surgery. Happy to report that my muscles are regaining their strength with physical therapy and in about a month or so I can return - slowly - to my workouts. Have your knee looked at by an orthopedic doctor, have some tests done before you do more serious damage and please let us know how you're doing. Hope this helps.
