Hi Cathe, I was wondering if you have a suggestion for an exercise that will give me the same benefit as a lounge, but easier on the knees. My back foot also cramps when i do them after having walked all day at work. Thanks alot:)
 
Hi Brenda! You can try to keep your lunge shallow to take the stress off the knees. If that still bothers your knees than try to work these muscles with a few different exercises. Keep in mind that lunges target mostly quads, buttocks, and hamstrings. So you can do squats and deadlifts along with the "on all fours with ankle weights" work in Butts and Guts to target these muscles without actually performing a lunge. Hope this helps!
