Sore bones and joints

I'm 4 months post-partum and picking back up on my exercise (had a c-section and PIH). I know my joints probably hurt from the relaxin still in my body, when will that stuff go away? But why are my bones sore like in my hands, wrists and forearms. I'm doing Cathe's new videos but very light on the weights and modifying till I get back up to full steam.
Thanks anyone.

Sore joints

Hi Traci,

It usually takes from 6-16 weeks to "flush" the relaxin out of the system. However, it has been my experience that moms who breastfeed their babies experience joint laxity longer than their non-breastfeeding counterparts. Are you nursing? That could explain some of your laxity and soreness.

If the problem persists I would suggest seeing an orthopedist just to be on the safe side. You could actually start with your primary healthcare provider and work from there.

You are doing the right thing to keep your weights light for now until the soreness dissipates.

I had the same problem with my wrists after I was pregnant with my first. During my pregnancy, the joints between the small bones in my wrist were very very loose. I did nurse my baby and I think that it was about 6 months before my wrists felt "normal" again.
