Yay! Amy.

I feel great when someone thinks money I helped them plonk down is money well spent. :)

Thank you for letting us know.

Melissa,

You need 7 AND the upcoming 8. Get them together. Both are FANTASTIC.

Michele started a post here about CC8 and some previews (including mine) are in that thread:

Would you recommend CC for a beginning out door runner? I just do about 3 miles 3x a week with Cathe weights on the other 3 days. Which CC are must haves to get me through the summer.

Colleen,

CC is very versatile. On each workout, there are individual tracks for each segment of the workout. For one thing, you can skip sections if you dont want to do a whole workout. For another, you can make even the most challenging CC work for your current level of fitness by pushing to the limits of your current fitness. Finally, it is possible to put together a workout as a mix and match from across different volumes for the time and distance you feel you wnat to go. My favorites in order are (I love ALL of em):
a. CC Volume 8 (This will take you further than 3 miles all the way through but you can do just parts of the workout. It has 2 long treks of 8 minutes each - a trek is part hill/part sprint and will work great for irregular terrain)
b. CC Volume 4 (This was my favorite workout until Vol 8 - the best music in my opinion) Will work great for a 3 mile run. You can optionally skip the last challenge.
c. Volume 2 - Great for a tough short run. Will fit your description perfectly
d. Vol 7 - One of the most challenging CCs. It has a segment with 10 challenges. It will work in parts for your current needs and hold you in good stead as you get better at running.

Press Play is a mish mosh from workouts until Volume 7 and will take you way futher than 3 miles. You can just do parts of it until your endurance builds. Since it has pieces from multiple CC workouts, it is a good way to get a preview of most of the CCs. It is also terrifically inspiring - the intro and Jim's words are very uplifting.

I am so glad Melissa. CC7 and CC8 are must haves for anyone who appreciates Sean's workouts.
