Someone please talk to me about T-Tapp

Cathlete
I've been reading a lot about this system and to be honest it sounds too good to be true. When I visited ttapp.com I couldn't believe people said they're cellulite free after using ttapp . I love Cathe, but I like to cross-train with other videos. I do 3 - 4 days of Cathe, one day of cardio + pilates, and one day of Yoga. I guess I could fit T-Tapp workouts either in my pilates day or yoga day. But I need people to fill me in. I don't even know the details of the videos because they don't have previews on that website and collage doesn't carry them. Please someone!!! Oh... another thing...any of you guys cellulite free because of this system? Just curious if you can go from lots of bumps to nothing at all without costmetic procedures. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.

Rose, I'm new to T-Tapp and I'm not sure that I can explain it. I know where you can get help tho. Go to the Firm Forum (www.firmdirect.com) and click on "Check ins and Challenges". Once there, find the T-Tapp Check in thread. Several "experts" post there every day and they are eager to share their successes and frustrations re: T-Tapp. Also, you can download some of the exercises on the T-Tapp website. I don't know how, but I'm sure the guys over at the Firm Forum will help you. Robin.

Hi Rose!

I've been T-Tapping for almost a year--started last December. Let me try to answer your questions in the order in which you asked them--

First, as far as being cellulite free, I'm not free of it, but it has GREATLY diminished! And as far as just trying to reduce and/or eliminate your cellulite, you really wouldn't have to incorporate T-Tapp for that. On the website, you'll notice she sells the CRT (Cellulite Removal & Skin Tightening) System which is the heart of removing and/or eliminating cellulite. You get a body brush, alfalfa and fibertox supplements (1 month's supply of each) and an instructional video on how to brush your body. Besides diminishing cellulite, it makes your skin so smooth! You'll love it! My skin has never been so silky--I will probably body brush for as long as I live!

Now, as far as the T-Tapp workout is concerned, I will probably always incorporate T-Tapp moves into every workout I do simply because it puts my body into the fat burning mode much quicker--I'm sweating and my heartrate is in my training zone within 5 minutes and then I go right into a Cathe tape and keep on sweating! LOL Robin's suggestion to get some of the free moves from the website is great. Also, you can download almost all the moves from http://www.throttlebox.com. They are extremely helpful and you don't have to pay anything to just try it out.

All that said, I still use my Cathe, Christi, CIA, kickboxing, etc., tapes because I like variety (and who could possibly workout without Cathe!), but if you tend to bulk up easily using heavy weights, T-Tapp might be the answer. It has leaned me out and has greatly reduced my bulky thighs.

Sorry this went on and on! Hope I answered some of your questions. Good luck in your decision.

God bless,

I've been using T-tapp since August. Before that I was using Cathe's strength tapes and walking vigorously. I was building strength with Cathe, and firming, but not losing inches quickly. Once I started T-tapp, I really began to change sizes. As I am older (59), it has been slow, but I am down two sizes from when I began, and a number of body problems have diminished or disappeared. I had plantar fascitis (problem of the bottom of the foot) which is 90% better, my lower back problem is gone, and my knee aches as well. T-tapp really does work! It pulls from a variety of sources, yoga, pilates, isometrics, etc., but carries over very nicely to other workouts. I incorporate it with my Cathe workouts, as well as other tapes I use. It is very much focused on form, and correct form.

That said, it is also rather boring, especially when you have been doing it for a while and have mastered the forms! There is no music, there are no well-muscled bodies to watch (other than theresa), and her videos are not as professionally made as you will probably be used to. However, I find her mistakes and manner kind of endearing. I really think she cares about what she is doing. And her exercises work. Once you have them under control, they incorporate well into rotations.

Good luck in your decision-making.

It's me again--re the cellulite. t-tapp has a body brushing system, but I checked out body brushing on the internet and found a number of sites with instructions--and you can also find places to buy body brushes inexpensively either on the internet or a place like target. I used to laugh about the body brushing, but I bought a brush from target and have been doing it a week now and my skin feels great. At age 59, I don't think I am going to loose cellulite quickly, but between losing weight and giving my skin a nice workout-after all, it is an organ, alive, and probably responds to stimulation--my skin feels great. I would think if your skin has good tone, and you brush and lubricate it, as well as losing weight, the cellulite should diminish.

I tried it and did NOT like it. If your form is even 1/2" off, you won't get results. And I found it really, really boring. I gave the workout tape to my mother-in-law, but kept the Hit The Floor workout (for abs).

I prefer doing aerobics strength training. Theresa Tapp talks a lot about how you can build strength w/o bulk, and how you can get cut arms without ever lifting a weight, but I'd rather look like Cathe than Theresa. Therefore, I am going to keep using Cathe's workouts.

Hey it's me! Just checking the replies. Thank you all very much. At least I'm not clueless about TTapp anymore. I'm going to find some info about body brushing because it sounds interesting. As for the complete TTapp system...I'm not sure if I want to pay all that money for it. I checked out throttlebox.com and I will download the exercises available there. Then I'll make the decision. I agree with Belle I'd rather look like Cathe too. And reading your post reminded me that all bodies are different and it's impossible to find something that works for everybody. Another thing, if the quality of the videos is not that good...I don't understand why the system is that expensive!!! I'd pay the money if I know I'm going to get results, but I'm not sure about that yet. I don't want to feel like an idiot after spending all that money and not seeing results. And speaking of idiots...I just noticed a typo in my original post. COSTmetic instead of cosmetic haha! :7 Sorry about that. Thanks again and have a nice weekend! :*

PS I hope I get more success or failed stories with this post so I can make a decision. When I do I'll let you guys know.

I've got several T-Tapp tapes, and I did not get good results. I did lose maybe 1/4 inch but that was about it. I do still do them once or twice a month, cause I do feel it in my torso when I do it. But I also find it a little boring, and get better results just upping the cardio.
I also noticed that most people who lost the large amounts of inches had a lot to lose.So it makes me wonder if they did a bootcamp of 14 days of anykind of workout, step, kickboxing, weights, running/walking, if they wouldn't lose large amounts of inches also.

Now I have not tried the brushing. I've been blessed with not having cellulite thank goodness, so I never got that.So I can't say anything about that.

RE: My opinions of the T-Tapp previews

Hello again. Well a lot of things. Robin for some reason I couldn't find the Firm Forum. I hear they're making business changes so I guess that's the reason. So I went to throttlebox.com, downloaded the throttlebox viewer and two previews of the T-Tapp exercises. IMHO they look effective and interesting, but if those are segments of the videos she sells I don't think I'll be buying them soon. They look really boring!!! Artmaker and Belle were right about that. I need someone to motivate me when I workout. Someone like Cathe. The best in the business. I think the T-Tapp system would be better if she couples those instructional videos with real workout videos. And by that I mean high quality workouts like Cathe with great cueing, great sets, great music, and motivation. For some reason Teresa reminds me of Moira Stott, but I like Moira. She's calmed and makes you feel the exercises. Plus the videos look a whole lot better than Teresa's.

On the other hand, I think I'm going to get the T-Tapp CRT System. I've been reading about body brushing and I think it might work for me. I don't have a chronic problem with cellulite, but there are some areas in my lower body that do not respond to exercise. So I think I'm going to buy it. However, I have a couple of questions about the alfalfa and fibertox supplements. After you finish them are they easy to find? or do you have to buy them from T-tapp? Are they affordable? Can you use other alfalfa supplements instead of T-Tapp's? Well that's all. Thank you again.

RE: My opinions of the T-Tapp previews

Theresa's alfalfa supplements are specially formulated to NOT increase your appetite, which is a side effect of most alfalfa supplements. And hers is also organically grown. I took it for a couple weeks and didn't see much of a difference, but I probably should have taken it longer. I have a 2 week supply left but don't want to use it unless I can get another month's supply, so I can do a few weeks of it continuously and hopefully get results. I will keep doing skin brushing, because it makes my skin feel soft. But I'm not Tapping anymore- it's Cathe and the FIRM from here on out!!!
