So who is spending Christmans alone?

Not alone as in you don't have any family, but alone as in you just don't have that someone special in your life.

This is one of my first Xmases without an SO. I never realized how different the holidays would be without that special someone. :-(

So, I'm gonna raise a toast to all of us single women at midnight on Xmas eve. Who's joining me?

Well, I've been alone for Xmas for 12 years now.

I'll be asleep when you raise your glasses but I'll think of all of us before I sleep ;-)

I'll join in! This will be my first year as an adult without a SO. I'm okay with it; it just feels kind of weird. I might go see a movie on Christmas Day since my kids will be with their dad. I've never even been to a movie alone!

Right there with you, baby :)

I recently ended a relationship of almost 11 years (you probably read my post) and I really feel relieved. I start vacation on the 21st and I'm going to do a lot of things for myself. Next Friday I'm getting my hair done and on Christmas eve I'm getting my make-up done and I'm visiting my family. I don't feel lonely or anything. It's so strange, but my attitude has changed a lot (in a good way.) Breaking up with him is probably one of the best things that have happened to me in awhile so I'll join you on the toast.

Btw, I found out my mom is getting me the PS series on DVD I'm so excited! I have the set on VHS since it came out in the late 90's and I've used it so many times the tapes are ruined (particularly Strong Legs & Abs.) So with the PS series on DVD plus the presale DVDs I'm going to start the new year with great stuff. Who cares about exes anymore? I'm gonna look so good!!!

Happy Holidays! Enjoy every single thing and forget about SOs this season. There's always next year. :)

Rose you sounds wonderful. I'm so glad to hear it.

Yep I'm single, have been for years. My daughter is coming home from college. It will be my son, daughter and me. With all his health issues, I thank God for having this family time. We spend it with my ex (friends only!).

I've gotten to be really good friends with a guy but not a SO. So I fit into this category.

Most the times I love being single, the independence particularly! Holidays and weddings are the 2 thing that are a little bittersweet.

Best wishes to those of you who are recently single, still hurting, healing, and those of us who it's a way of life!

I will be joining you all too... This will be my 5th year without an SO - and it does make it very different.

I have been dating someone since Oct - - but just dating - so I still consider myself alone.

I've been on my own since '97 and found that the first 2 Christmases were the worst. I dated someone through Christmas of '98 and '99 and came to realise that I'd rather be 'alone' over Christmas than miserable with someone else:p :+

I will most definitely raise a glass to LauraMax and all of you wonderful women at midnight to celebrate Christmas and all of it's blessings. I wish you all joy and peace!

Take Care
Laurie:)

My mom...After being married to my step-dad for 24 years (my "real" dad), they seperated in September...We flew her up here for Thanksgiving, but would have prefered Christmas...She wanted to come up then instead...I've got a feeling she'll be calling Sunday morning...
