Cathlete
It's Thursday night, which is MY FAVORITE NIGHT of the entire week! Kids are sound asleep and I'm just chilling before I go to bed!!! I'm trying to decide what to do for cardio and core tomorrow morning!!!

I'm just wondering what my fellow Catheites are doing tonight!

Gayle

Hey Gayle! I'm killing time on the computer and talking to dd 9 who got back from dance at 8:30 and is waiting for her dad to finish hooking up a new dvd player so he can tuck her in:) Gonna watch Southland at 10, then hit the hay:) I have a wellness committee meeting at school in the morning.

I should be reading, but I'm actually sitting here in a rather cranky, self-pitying mood. I don't know why, as I'm usually not like this.

Someone slap me out of it!! :D

I agree ~ Thursday nights rock. I love Fridays.

Hi, Klaudia. I'm heading to school early in the morning too! My older DS is in the school's annual 24 Math challenge (he came in 3rd overall last year).

Gayle

Lori, I was cranky with my kids earlier tonight. For me, I'm just tired of having to wait, hand-and-foot, on my older DS who is on crutches for 10 MORE DAYS!!!! He's almost helpless, can't carry anything from one place to the next. But at least I don't have to wipe his butt or help him shower, right? :D

Gayle

ps CONSIDER YOURSELF SLAPPED!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Gayle!

I'm patiently waiting for DD to brush her teeth and GET INTO BED!!!! Every night it seems it takes longer and longer to get her to settle down..

Sorry to hear about your DS being on crutches. Poor kid and more importantly, poor Mom for having to wait on him hand and foot!!! Hang in there!!

Hanging out before I get to a-studying for an upcoming employment law test, yawn, yawn, yawn.

Have to say I don't have any kids left in the house so don't have those issues any more - definitely sympathize with you all though . . .

Gayle - can DS use a backpack to carry his stuff from here to there? ;)

Not to downplay his ankle issue, but here's my story:

My oldest DS broke his femur at 2 yrs of age - 2 weeks of traction in the hospital, 1 1/2 weeks in a traction bed in the living room, then 5 weeks of an under the arm to ankles body cast. Had to "roll" him back to front constantly to avoid hurting any of his bones due to the cast pressure on them. Then when I wanted him mobile, put him in the "little red wagon" and pulled him around. That is how he played with the neighborhood kids for a while, and how he spent his 2nd Halloween trick or treating. :D

Some of his roommates in the hospital were in peds ICU and had cancer, they didn't get to go home and I knew mine would. Was very sad and made me think of how lucky I was.

Thought it was the worst thing in the world at the time since I had a 6 month old also - but now it was a drop in the bucket compared to keeping them on the straight and narrow and making sure they stay out of trouble.

Hope DS is on the mend soon for your sanity - it's like just when things were going great a wrench gets thrown in just so you know you can handle it, huh?

Laughing Water - I'd slap you (but gayle beat me to it), and sometimes it is good to just get it out and you can do that here ! TGIF just a tad bit early.

Friday is my fav day too - I answer the phone all day long saying "happy Friday". :p
