I'm a kickboxing addict. It's my favorite cardio workout. It's to the point where I don't wanna do anything else -I know, not a good choice but I really really love it! It's especially not a good idea cuz it's probably terrible to do that to my joints everyday.

I absolutely adore KPC but I know I have to switch it up a bit. I've read all the different comments on KM and CK and I still don't know what to do. Basically, I want high intensity cardio. I know KPC has that with the drills...so which DVD is best after that one? I'll even take suggestions for non-Cathe videos too. I want something that will really keep my heart rate up there.

I may actually come to the 'other side' and join you steppers! But I've tried that workout (at a gym) once before and I was miserable- it takes true coordination! Once they have us turn around I get lost haha. At least in kickboxing, I know every single move and can pick them up very quickly. If I were to try stepping, which Cathe workout do you recommend? I don't want anything too easy where I don't get a good workout...yet I have to be able to follow it.

In the meantime- I'm waiting for an urban rebounder to come! haha We'll see how that goes.

Have you tried the Imax(s) I am not crazy about pure step - but love Imax2, 3, and 1. If you are looking for the most fun go for Imax2. It's not kick box but I am sure you will love it.

Kickbox is my favorite as well.
 
I've had a friend who is a Kick Boxing fan say that Maximum Intensity Cardio was great because the step in basic, but tough - it IS one of the most intense Cardio workouts you'll ever have - so warning there!!!). I also like the IMax's - IMax 2 is the most fun and will get you heart rate up - and the step is fairly easy. Also, Circuit Max - this is my favorite - it's also, to me, Cathe's toughest workout behind MIC (a lot of people don't agree, but to me it is). It has 6 sections (2 hi/lo, 2 kick boxing, and 2 step) combined with a round of weight training. And Circuit Max comes with Cardio Kicks on the DVD - so you get another kick boxing work out with it.
 
Kick Max is a VERY high intensity cardio workout. I've actually never done the third section (leg conditioning I think), but the first section is kickboxing drills & the second section is more like interval floor aerobics is a real killer.

I only did Cardio Kicks once or twice, I didn't find it very challenging.

If you want to give step a shot & want to start out with a more basic but really high intensity workout, give Maximum Intensity Cardio a try. It's a lot of fun, and pretty darn tough.
 
Get Cardio Kicks because the same DVD gives you Circuit Max. You want your heart rate up there with intense cardio of varying styles, interspersed with 2 mins of compound upper body and lower body weight training moves? This is one of my all time fave Cathe cardios. Your heart rate will soar!

Laura - When I first did Cardio Kicks, I didn't find it very challenging either, until I started putting my absolute all into the power drills. HOLY COW! Now I do them as add ons to other workouts - nothing works my upper abs like Cardio Kicks - and my HRM shows that I get a killer workout - even though it does not always feel that way. I really like those drills. I just did that one this morning and I feel good.
 
I absolutely LOVE Kick, Punch, and Crunch as well!!! I do not have Cardio Kicks, but I do have Circuit Max on VHS and love it (I WISH I had it on DVD so I could give Cardio Kicks a try). As far as Kickmax goes, it is the only hardcore DVD that I have that I never do--besides the 10 minutes of Intensity blasts that aren't really kickboxing like in K,P &C, the rest just doesn't get my heartrate up at all, no matter how hard I push it. My vote would either be for Lowmax--my new favorite--great for the legs like kickboxing, great calorie burner, I am loving the results I am seeing with it; or IMAX3, a real killer for intensity, or Circuit Max like others have suggested.
