so good having ctx tapes - but what to do next?

I'm one of the many people who has lost a job (my high tech company closed) as a result of the WTC attacks.

It's so great to have the ctx tapes and cardio kicks. I've been out of work a month and feel like i'm getting in much better shape. It really has kept me grounded during this period (in fact I'm actually getting to enjoy this time away from work!).

I'm thinking of bringing it up a level but haven't decided what my goal should be. Size wise is good, weight is good but I'd like to get in REALLY outstanding shape. I do tend to gain muscle pretty quickly (I'm 5 2) but I'm not totally firm... would like to get back to my early 90s shape when I hit the gym regularly. I'm 40s now vs. 30s then but I think it's doable.

Anyone have any ideas? Money is tight so I can't splurge on a lot of tapes. I could afford one. I have a lot of firm to supplement my ctx and cardio kicks but I really want another cathe tape.

I'm thinking of getting back into running (better start now as winter is coming)

Any ideas greatly appreciated. My eating is pretty clean.

Thanks :)

Two words - Power Hour! One hour - it works your whole body. I still can't believe is how much I have to lower my weights in some sections!!!

Just piling it on - BodyMax is a classic & an incredible value -since you get cardio &/or weights. But PowerHour is such fun & a perfect compliment to your personal cardio choices. And Cathe sneaks in a lot of core stabilization work. You can tell she's a heck of a Mom 'cause she sneaks in the "good for you" stuff without you even knowing it's coming.

I checked your profile but it doesn't show where you live. Even in California, many of our friends & family have been touched, no, slammed, by Sept 11. All I can suggest is that you invest in yourself.

If you enjoy running & being outdoors, don't let nasty weather be a deterent. My husband & I discovered urban "hikes" after moving to Seattle. He's a runner, but if things got too sloppy or icy, we'd just walk the hilly streets. We're now is So Cal, which means winter hiking & much better running conditions. Actually it doesn't matter what you do, but I find being outdoors very therapeutic. But really, any kind of exercise is!

Hi Robyn!

Made your decision yet?

If not, Body Max gets my vote. The cardio portion will take your fitness level up a notch, and the weight-training covers all the bases.

If cardio only is your game, I suggest you get Maximum Intensity Cardio (MIC). It's still a challenge for me and I've been doing it on and off for about 3 years. It never gets easier, darnit! Actually, I feel it's even more strenuous than Interval Max, if that's possible. Others, of course, might disagree with that.

Anyhoo, those two get my votes. Good luck in making a tough decision!
