SNM - A Tech Help Question

SNM:

I am logged in from my work. For the last two nights when I log in from home, I get an error message that says "some files may harm your computer". It gives me the option of opening or saving, but then will not let me do either. I have never had trouble accessing the site before. I can't even get to cathe.com from home. I have AOL - do you have any idea how to fix it? This is the only site that it happens to.

I'm not SNM, but I used to have AOL and would get those kinds of error messages all the time. I even had to reinstall the AOL disc more than once ... which explains why we no longer have AOL - LOL! The thing I used to do was clear my cookies, sometimes defrag my hard drive, and then restart my computer. AOL doesn't always clear the cache on it's server, and you often have older versions of pages popping up in their browser. You also could try closing the AOL browser and launching Internet Explorer, and see if you can access this site from there. I had to do that a LOT to access the Weight Watchers site. Good luck!!

Not sure, but I would suggest as a first step to clean your browsers cache and delete cookies. Also, if you have recently installed a Firewall this may be the cause of your problems.
