Snazzy Ladies January Check In Week of 1/23

Morning Glories.

I am gonna be tired again today. In bed before 9 but awake until 9:40 and then only dozed a bit til just after 11 when I FINALLY fell asleep for the night. Part of it's my fault as I was laying there playing a silly word game on my IPOD from 9 to 9:40 but after that IDK why I wasn't able to sleep well. :(

Y'day was almost an unscheduled rest day for me. I felt like crap all morning. Thought I was getting sick. Thankfully it passed and I was able to work out last night after dinner so disc 6 is done. I added the kicking premix of KCM k/b to it. No abs though. I had wanted to do CTX k/b and abs but that was too long of a work out by the time I got started. Happy I got it done though! :D

Today is cardio + abs.

I ended up doing Intensity: Hi HiiT + Bootcamp and half of 6 week 6 pack w/o #2. Good stuff! :D

ran out of time today. think I need to do a different rotation ... Jan's is too tough. I did TLT's all week while fighting another or maybe the same - cold. I'm going to do a 3 1/2 month STS with cardio & abs thrown in on alternate days.
Time is going to be tight so I can't do those 90 min workouts until later in the Spring.
STS Disk one tomorrow. :eek:
 
I'm back to check in with Total body sculpt from LIC, I couldn't do the whole workout today so I broke it up,its was very different working out twice in one day,:cool:

Wendy,there are some nites when I just cant sleep and idk why.

Colleen,jan rotation is tuff with a lot of cardio and drills......so next month im going to do the Firm for about a week to rest,b4 our trip.Then back to Cathe:)

Colleen:: So you will be joining myself and Gayle in STS as of tmrw? YAY! :)

Today was Absolute Kickbox: Kickboxing premix plus standing core work. Good stuff.

Tomorrow is a rest day...or it SHOULD be anyway. We'll see. ;)

My buns are ON FIRE from disc 6 today! WOW! Gotta love it! :cool:

sts disc one today & the sts stretch (love that stretch). I'm taking my weights way down for this sesssion. 3,5 8# DB's plus the 1# weighted gloves & only a 15 1/2 BB. I'm going to concentrate on form and then do the STS Shock Cardio or some of the new cardio workouts on alternate days. Again I'm not going for any major strength gains or cardio records. I want good form and no injuries and build up my endurance slowly. See where I am in April.
 
Rest day for me today.

Had a vomiting 5 year old last night and have nasty snowy weather this morning that loused up my commute and is supposed to louse up tonight's commute as well. :mad:

Tomorrow should be Disc 5 for the second time...

Colleen:: Do what works for you. Good job getting your work out done. You are ahead of most of the country just by doing it at all regardless of anything else so you rock! :) I slept like a baby last night by the way. YAY!

Gayle:: You guys have another snow day today??

Did step/low Hiit from Intensity & a stretch.

tuesday no workout,and today or should I say tonight I camethisclose to not working out:eek: after kids left I took a 45minute nap woke up and thought no way im WO. then I saw the pic of the abs that I want and I went for it and now I feel GREAT!!!!!!!!!!

I'm HERE!!!! It's been one heck of a week here with the weather, my kids, scheduled, etc. You all know what I'm talking about, so I'll quit whining!

I started to feel sort of grumpy and rundown on Monday, so I chose to back down JUST A BIT this week, lol. Here's what my week has looked like so far:
Sun: (am) Rodney Yee's Power Yoga Total Body (pm) 6 mile run with my group
Mon: (am) Disc 6 Legs (pm) EASY 4 mile run outside
Tue: Disc 4 Ch/Sh/Bis
Wed: 5 mile tempo run (on the TM), original Boot Camp core segments (MY FAVE)
Th: Disc 5 Back/Tris, LBB band/floor work and leg conditioning drills, 50 crunches on stability ball I was planning an outside HILL run today, but we'll see what the weather effects that. It might end up a pool day.

My attention is starting to waver on the STS rotation! LOL I'm toying with the idea of doing 1 body part per day. :D Talk me down from the ledge, ladies. :D

I think I'm NOW ready for Spring! LOL I love the snow, but there comes a point where the cancellations and rescheduling of our sporting events starts to crunch our calendar and that drives me crazy.

School is closed today; we got about a foot of snow last night. So I'll be online playing around.
 
Good Morning.

Week 4/Disc 4 done plus abs burnout and core on the floor segments from BBC S&H! Great work out!

School is closed here today too but my job is on a 2 hour delay so I'll be trudging thru the snow to drop DS off at mom's in a couple hours and then off to work I go. :eek:

I may get out of shoveling this morning (atleast most of it) b/c DH is out there now doing it. He said it's very deep and very heavy so he's doing it for me. He probably thinks I can't handle it! HAH! I'm a Cathlete! I can do ANYTHING! :D I may not WANT to, but I CAN! :p That being said, I am very greatful that he is doing the lion's share of the snow removal. :)

Wendy, did ya get to work safely???

6+ mile run done, in the fresh snow. It was slippery, and I got splashed w slush a few times from the cars, but it was AWESOME!

Oh gosh Gayle, no I did not. :( I sure did try though! :rolleyes: Had to go from home to mom's to drop off DS and then on to work from there. Well, my long tale of woe is posted on FB but I will post it here as well incase ya didn't see it...Left my house to head for mom's and almost got stuck 2x in the first 5 mins of the ride. A little while later I inadvertently ran a red light when my car wouldn't stop in time. When I finally got by my mom's house I hit an unplowed section of road and felt my car literally DROP into it and there I was. STUCK AS STUCK COULD BE and ofcourse only a block from my mom's place! :eek: It took 3 guys with shovels and a snow plow guy about 20 minutes to get me loose! Then I was afraid so I ended up parking my car on a clear road about a block from my mom's house and made DS walk with me to her place. Enroute we passed a poor guy who had dug himself out of his driveway and had pulled his car out and was pulling back in and got himself stuck in the middle of the road kinda like I had just been (only a different road)! :eek: By the time we got to my mom's door I was done. I called my boss who was still 30 mins away from work on a GOOD day and told him I was giving up. He was fine with it so I visited with my mom for a bit, she fed DS and myself some lunch and at about 1pm or so we headed back home. The excitement didn't end there but my fingers are too tired to finish the story! LOL

I tell ya, sometimes it's just not worth it to "do the right thing". Better off staying home and staying safe if you can get away with it! :rolleyes:
 
This morning's work out was a cardio/leg/ab mish mosh::

BBL High & Tight ankle weight work

What did everyone else do? I am soooo going to be feeling BBL tmrw. OMG. :eek:

REST DAY today! I am 80% thru the day and I've made it a rest day. Totally and completely with no cheating. I did Stretch Max with the band this morning after the kids got out the door for school, and THAT'S IT!!! I wanted fresh and strong legs for tomorrow morning's 10 mile long run so I chose to REST TODAY!
 
So Gayle, did the rest day stick?? What's the plan for today?

Hello Terina and Colleen. Hope all is well with you ladies.

Today's work out will be week 4/disc 5 followed by some cardio (perhaps LIS?) and abs of some sort.

Hey Snazzy GIRLS!

Wendy, YES.....yesterday remained a total rest day! And it paid off. I did my 10 mile long run this morning and felt good and strong the whole way. I start worrying, once my long runs get up into double digits, that aches and pains will start creeping in, and they WILL. But today they didn't and I really believe it's from the extra stretching I've been tossing in.

Busy day here.......we're headed back out for my younger DS' Pinewood Derby races for Scouts. Then tonight is Date #3. We're doubling with my BFF and her DH for dinner, then joining several more couples for a comedian to celebrate a friend's 50th. I'm really looking forward to it!

another quick check in ... yesterday did MMA Boxing. Love that workout. It was just right.
Today was to have been STS disk 3 but I'm fighting another or the same cold. Can't get sick so I'm taking today off and will do disk 3 tomorrow.
Hope the snow is melting out east.
