For snacks, I love to take some plain fat-free yogurt and stir in a few tablespoons of low-fat granola. The crunch and sweetness of the granola is a nice offset to the tanginess of the yogurt- and you're getting protein and calcium and some whole grains. It's fabulous.
I also like baby carrots - easy to eat and oh-so-yummy. I'm the kind of person who doesn't really like raw vegetables very much, unless they have some kind of dressing or dip on them. But baby carrots I can eat plain.
I will also admit to snacking on Baked Cheetos and Baked Ruffles, although I do not recommend that you follow suit. But, if you have an itch for something salty, they are better than their fried counterparts.
A handful of almonds or walnuts is always a tasty protein-packed choice. And you'll get some Omega-3's from those nuts too.
So many choices, so little time! And now, my stomach is growling from all this food talk. I better go find a snack!
