Because i do low(er) carb i like to grind mixed nuts up with Flaxseeds (golden) and then have half a banana dipped in. Sounds yuck! But is really nice plus all the fat from the nuts and seeds keep me filled!

I wish my body craved a wider variety of snacks but it is almost always the dreaded peanut butter jar that beckons me. Like many others here I love peanut butter!! My challenge is to keep it to a serving of 2 - 3 tbsps per snack. My family lovingly refers to my lower belly pooch as my Peanut Butter Muscle. My favourite is crunchy peanut butter with a banana. I will confess that I do like to have it off of the spoon too but I blame Brad Pitt for that;). Anyone remember 'Meet Joe Black' and how sexy he made eating peanut butter off of a spoon look? So yummy!!! (I'm not sure if I mean Brad or the Peanut butter:p ).

I'm very boring: power bar, fruit or yoghurt, large piece of cheese, I'm not very creative, just reach for what's handy. I can't be bothered with food preparation most of the time.

A new favorite of mine is freshly made almond butter (I get it at the health food store) on apple slices. Yummy!

Ditto this! One of my favorites!

Also protein shake with half cup of frozen cherries (no sugar added--only ingredient is cherries), some ice cubes and a little flax seed whirled in a blender.

Low carb whole wheat tortilla with either cheddar cheese or natural almond butter, warmed in the microwave, and lately have had this with some plain soy milk, yum.

1/2 cup of cottage cheese or 1 cup of plain greek yogurt (very firm texture) with 2T of slivered almonds and a little Davinci Sugar Free syrup (made with liquid Splenda) or with Grams Gourmet Flax'n Nut crunchies (has nuts, flax, etc.)

1 cup of plain greek yogurt with 1/2 cup of the frozen cherries.

I have a jar of pretzles on the counter for those times I feel the need for something salty and crunchy. I also like raw jicama, it has a slightly sweet flavor.

Hey Laurie --

That's hilarious about the peanut butter (and your Peanut Butter Muscle). I call mine my Peanut Butter Baby. I actually hate to admit it, but I have almost downed an entire jar of peanut butter in one sitting (just eating it with a spoon). That's when I knew I had a peanut butter problem.

As for my favorite snacks,

-- baked sweet potato with light ranch dressing (and sometimes BBQ sauce)
-- cereal with Ultimate Pure Protein instead of milk
-- jello cheesecake snacks (next to the refrigerated pudding, about 130 calories)
-- WW Smart Ones ice cream sandwiches
-- those individual tuna salad kits

I'm going to really have to try jicama. I see it in the store and think, what if this ends up down the disposal like so many other new things I've tried? The sweetness sounds good.
 
Dare I even write this? My favorite snack is chocolate - LOL!! Well ... it is!! What can I say?
