snack ideas

I am having a hard time thinking of cold weather snack ideas. Normally for a snack i have an apple with laughing cow and i love it. However, now that the weather is cold, i am usually cold, and a cold apple just doesn't sound good. Does anyone have any ideas for some good snacks that are warm or at least room temp?
 
How about a cup of hot tea with a room-temperature apple an your cheese? Sometiimes just a little tweak can help.
 
Try cutting up your apple into little bites, nuke it for a few seconds with some cinnamon. Its tasty, like apple pie, without the fattening bit.;)
 
Thanks for the ideas. The apple in the microwave worked great. The problem with sweet potatoes is, I love them too much. I have no portion control and eat the whole thing. I'm one of those people that doesn't get tired of eating the same thing for a long time. Habits are a good thing for my breakfast. lunch and snack because dinner is all about the family. I try to eat what everybody else eats for dinner that way I can teach my daughters they dont have to eat differently or not allow themselves certain foods. Thanks again for your time and ideas.

I brought sliced apple and cinnamon to work with me. I'm gonna try this suggestion for my afternoon snack later. Very excited! :)

Just had my snack. That was quite tastey! Thanks for the idea! I will have to try it with sweet potatoes (yams) next!

Thanks for sharing! I have snacked on this several times since I saw this post. Today I sprinkled chopped walnuts on it and it was soooo yummy! Try it if you like nuts. :D
 
I have had the microwaved apple with cinnamon everyday since and it really is good. I will have to try it with pecans also. Im looking forward to my snack today and thats a good sign. I've also been putting cinnamon in with my mushed banana and oatmeal in the morning, delicious.
 
This may not be a typical snack idea, but I just had some hot miso soup, and it was great for warming up!
