Smoothee recipies

This is 'the' standard smoothie recipe used in our house. Tweak it as needed.

2 Cups Fruit
3/4 Cup Crushed Ice
1/4 Cup Orange Juice

The fruit can be fresh or frozen. When using frozen I will nuke it for about 20 seconds to soften it just a bit so it's easier on the blender.

You can also add a container of yogurt or 1/4 cup of milk.

One note...anytime you add banana to a smoothie the end result will be very banana tasting. My kids don't like bananas in smoothies for this reason and neither do I. We use blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, mango, pineapple, black raspberries.

One more note...if your smoothie is too thick just add more liquid and that can be fruit juice, milk, whatever. Like I said, the recipe is a starting place and then tweak it to your personal tastes.
