Smoogy: Clean eating

Hi Smoogy,
I read on the "Clean Eating" thread that you followed the Lean Bodies program and lost tons of fat. Do you still follow it? If not, why? It kind of seemed like you were talking past tense so I was wondering why you stopped doing the program? Is it too hard to eat clean all the time? Is it too hard to prepare the foods every day? Just wondering. Thanks for the info!

Hi! Sorry I didn't notice this sooner.

Well two main things happened. First, my boyfriend is a completely picky eater so instead of cooking two meals, I just ended up making what he wanted. Not really a good excuse since Lean Bodies teaches you to prepare your mini-meals in advance, freeze, store, anticipate, etc. So, getting back in this practice.

Second, now I'm a nurse so I don't get to take meals at the right intervals sometimes and may even go half a day without eating which doesn't keep your glucose levels steady.

For the most part I still eat pretty cleanly, but not "perfect" as I used to. I'm still lean & muscular 128lb, but I haven't had my bodyfat checked in many years. But I just seem to look a little more on the puffier/thicker side when I'm not eating clean, than when I am. My waistband is the first indicator & the muscle definition is more hidden. My energy also hits the skids when I'm not eating right.

Just give it a shot.
