The vet did a blood test on her and said she is EXTREEMLY dehydrated. There were also some things in her blood test that concerned him - high white count etc... He said it was good we brought her in when we did. They admitted her right away after injecting her with fluids. She's going to be there for approximately 4 days on an IV. The believed culprit of all of this is turkey... Yep, turkey. Supposedly, some dogs can react as violently to turkey as chocolate. Montana and Dakota are fine, but Cheyenne just happens to be sensitive. The vet said it happens a lot around this time of the year. My DH gave them a few scraps on Thursday. :( I am supposed to call tomorrow to get an update on how she is doing. The estimate for all of this is anywhere from $275 - $400+. That's one expensive turkey... Poor Chey. :'(
