Small Goals

A couple of months ago I started making small goals for myself. My life has been so crazy lately that I needed some that I could feel like I was in control of. This new way of thinking has truly helped me be less stess.

My small goals are/were flossing every night (yeah, this is something I should have started when I was a kid!), reading a daily motivational book and a daily womens' religious, motivational verse each morning, and eating a vegetable with dinner at least 5 of 7 nights. I have managed to fit these three things into my daily life, and now they've become habit. These are things that makes me a better person on different levels, eases my stress, and allows me to focus my attention and energy on positive things.

I'm looking for some more small goals. Could be exercise or just well-being. Any suggestions or ones which you've had success with? At this point in my life, I need something I can do.

Thanks.

Great idea! It's always easier to start with baby steps.

Here are some I'm working on

Journal daily
5-15 minutes of yoga type stretches before bed to relax and recenter.
Wash face before bed (I'm bad at this one)
Give my DH at least one compliment each day.

I probably over hydrate as I always have a bottle of water in front of me but if you aren't... water is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

One of the small things I committed to do is when I'm out and about (shopping) I try and be cheerful at the sales people (grins/smiles), or anyone around me. If I see someone in need of help (an elderly person trying to put groceries in the car) I will do my best to do it or a person who has their arms full and tying to open a door, I will open the door for them. It's not as easy as it sounds, but it helps to be kind to people.

The idea is to die young as late as possible.

These are good, ladies. That's what I'm looking for.

I will add giving someone (a stranger or someone I know) a compliment a day.

I could also add drinking more water. I started drinking more coffee and diet soda during the day due to stress, and that means that I don't drink as much water as normal.

Keep'em coming! :)
