Slow and Heavy

Just out of curiousity, who has the Slow and Heavy Series, and what do you think?? I started with CTX a couple of months ago, and am ready for something new...I'm looking for something that will fatigue, but not looking for more cardio at the moment since I'm still trying to get the CTX step down pat (and have been filling in with jogging and my beloved jump rope!)

Another question for this series...How long is each tape?? Is it feasible to do all three together? Or should they be spread throughout the week?

Thanks, Ladies!!

I don't have this but I have it taped off FitTV. What I do have, I love. The slower rep count is an amazing new way to hit the muscles. You don't even have to go all that heavy, rather, what is more challenging for you. Depends on your goals. I tend to go a bit lighter as I develop muscle easier. I think it is a fantastic workout. I guess you can do all three but that would take a massive chunk of time. I suggest spreading it out during the week.

I have it and absolutely love it. It is the only workout the my SO loves too. It is one of my favorites and it feels so complete, and I like working the push and pull muscle together. The dvd comes with it already divided in to 3 workouts, you throw in a few days of cardio and you got a nice routine. For about 2 months I was doing this along with the gym styles and loved it.
They take a lot of concentration but you can really feel it and get great results.

legs and shoulders is: 66 1/2 minutes
3 and 1/2 minute warmup
30 min legs/butt
31 min shoulders
2 min stretch

chest and back is: 58 1/2 minutes
3 min warm up
26 1/2 min chest
18 min back then (3 min superman, 6 min planks)
2 min stretch

tri's and bi's is: 59 1/2 minutes
2 1/2 min warm up
23 min triceps
24 min biceps
7 1/2 min abs
3 min stretch

Hope this helps

I have S&H. I love the upper body workouts, but have only done the lowe body a couple of times (not my favorite, nor that of my knees!).

Doing all three together would be completely contrary to their purpose, which is slow and heavy lifting, needing longer recovery time. Definitely spread them out over the week.

I sometimes do S&H chest/back with P90X Shoulders and Arms later in the week, and another lower body workout.

I try to do Tri's and Bi's with Chest/Back and Legs and Shoulders all in one day. Sometimes I run out of time and do Chest/Back next day. Just depends what kind of day I am having. All three take me about 3 1/2 hours though and I don't do the leg work from Legs and Shoulders..just shoulders since I am just concentrating on upper for that day.
