slim series too easy... should i try p90x or stick with cathe?

try p90x? or stick with our beloved cathe?

ok.... i was reading about slim series at the other forums and decided to give it a try since i felt my legs were bulking with cathe and heavy weight...

i've done 3 days and feel like i've already lost fitness! the worst part was the fanny lift thingy's on the floor yesterday... i did feel the burn for that. but NO DOMS! what's up with that?

i love the waist exersices too.. cuz my obliques have popped out a LOT with cathe!

however.. overall... i'm not impressed.. i don't feel worked out or like i'm accomplishing anything doing these.. plus her form and not keeping the beat of the music REALLY bugs me! so i'm gonna return them...

my first question is: should i "waste" 2 more days and do the last 2 workouts? (i'm not doing the recovery one cuz i'm not doing 60 minutes of stretching as a daily workout! ugh! and i really do feel like i'm wasting my morning workout time.... unless the last two are a LOT more intense.. which from previewing i don'g think so.....) or should i bail out and go back to our beloved cathe tomorrow and try to minimize anymore fitness loss? (my arms feel squishy... my legs feel squishy... all after THREE DAYS of slim series! ACK!)

my next question: should i bother trying p90X? i don't currently do structured rotations.. more a pick my own workouts.. doing at least one upper body a week.. some cardio.. some circuits.. a lower body.. all this planned around my cycling on weekends (and after work)

i don't really like upper body splits.. so PUB is one of my faves and i even do BOTH gym style upper bodies on the same day (so as not to split)

knowing this.. will i like p90x?

thanx for any and all imput!

cute work out clothes are good for AT LEAST an additional 10-15 calories burned!

I don't know if you'd like P90x or not. I have it and enjoy it, but the upper body work is divided up. Actually, the body parts are divided up exactly like Cathe's Pure Strength series. If you like total body conditioning, my guess would be that you probably wouldn't be thrilled with P90x

If you want an upper body workout that's a step up from Cathe, then go with P90X. You'll also get plyometrics, yoga, core work, stretching, and a great rotation to follow that is very effective, and includes recovery weeks. The cardio is not as intense as Cathe's cardio, but it is not meant to be. It fits in very well with the entire system, IMO.

The only weak link in P90X, at least for me, is the lower body work for glutes and hamstrings. I personally need more focused/heavy glute work to keep that body part where I want it to be. Cathe's GSL would be a great substitute, IMO, at least part of the time.
