Slim Series or Cathe Equivalent?

For those Cathe fans that have done Slim Series:

Are there any Cathe workouts that you would say are similar to the Slim Series workouts? Seems like many are having sucess with the low weight/high rep SS workouts and would like to try this approach.

If no Cathe equivalent, then I was wondering about just getting one or two of the SS workouts to mix in with Cathe and other cardio. Has anyone done this? Any sucess? Any suggestions on which 1 or 2 SS workouts would be best?

Thanks for any help/suggestions!

I have all of Cathe's and all the Slim Series so I will try to answer your questions. While none of Cathe's are really like the series, the close ones would be Boot Camp, Muscle Endurance, the BC/ME combo, and Legs and Glutes. As for which SS workout to try, it depends on what you want. Shape and Tear are total body 78 minutes long. Mix and Tone are one hour long, also total body. Firm is a 60 minute lower body only. They are all formatted very similar in style, too similar really. My personal favorites are Shape it up and Firm it up, but everyone seems to have different opinions on that! Cool it off is a stretch tape only-60 min long also. I can't say I've really had "success" like some people, but I'm 46 and so kind of need intense cardio and heavy weights to get results. When I was younger I did very well with the Firm and that is probably closest to the Slim Series style. As I got older, however, this workout style seems less effective (for me.)

Beth,
Thanks for the info. I think I will just get one to try first to see how this works for me. I am 51 and trying to figure out wht is going to work for my body at this age since this is a whole new ball game. The body changes differently and what worked when younger doesn't work anymore. Oh the joys of perimenopause!
