Slim Series details please

For detailed descriptions and chaptering of the DVDs (there's an option to turn off the music and just play your own - which is a good idea since i personally don't like the music), check out the Beachbody reviews at Firm Ya-ya's

Hollie- Let me apologize in advance if my message is written in "stream of consciousness" mode ....!!!!
I just finished my first rotation week of the Slim Series - I am doing the "Slim Training" rotation, which is listed as being "advanced." These tapes kicked my butt! Yes, they use light weights; no, there is no stepping; and no, there really are no high-impact moves at all; BUT .... you work up a major sweat, your heart gets pumping, and you are SORE SORE SORE!!
I started this series after doing a month of PS every morning and aerobics (Cathe tapes, running, whatever) at night ...
The Firm It Up tape (I think this is the lower body one) was a KILLER for me - I didn't think I'd be able to work out the next day, but I did ... besides this one tape, I like it in that Debbie incorporates all your body parts into one workout. Plus, just when you think your arms/legs/hips/butt/chest are going to fall off, she switches to another exercise.
I looooooove the waist exercises! I obviously have not worked my waist like this in YEARS because this is the first time I've actually FELT sore muscles there!!!!
I am thinking of adding in some cardio each day as I don't feel I am keeping my heart rate up as long as I do with Cathe tapes.
And the music - I think I might be the first one to say this - but it really really does NOT bother me. I'm so busy listening to Debbie, watching her, watching the little timer thing - I don't even notice it.
Another thing people mentioned is her breathing - I honestly don't mind that either, because it keeps MY breathing regular. And, it makes me feel like she is a REAL person, rather than some fitness bimbo. :)
Anyway - while I haven't seen drastic changes in just 6 days, I'd definitely recommend the series. They really are nice for a change of pace, and I think they challenge your body in a new way.
Hope this helps you in your decision!!!

RE: A big Cathe fan and....

Could someone please connect the dots for a poor fool (me!) - what tapes are in slim in 6 and the slim series and which is the advanced and which the beg/intermediate?

I can't keep them straight!

Thanks gals!

Thank you, Spotty!!!! That is a very good review. I will keep this in mind as I contemplate! :) I appreciate the time you took to post this.
