Skipping/freezing on older Cathe DVD's

I have noticed a problem on a couple of older DVD's, such as IMAX 2/Cardio & Weights, where I am noticing a significant amount of freezing and the picture seems to "break up." I remember reading some suggestions a while back about things to do to the DVD to hopefully fix the problem (other than buying a replacement.)Can anyone help?

Thanks!

There are tips 'stickied' at the top of the Video & DVD Questions and Comments forum of Cathe's boards.

If you have done all the tips and suggestions of SNM and yet your DVD still freezes or pixelates, then I suggest just have the DVD replaced. You don't have to buy a replacement. If you bought from Cathe's website, there is a lifetime guarantee!

What a coincidence! I just put in Cardio & Weights the other day and it froze and skipped horribly. I never had that problem with it before. I have no problem with the new ones and I thought if I didn't have a problem right from the start, then it would always be good.

I can't find the tips mentioned in the above post regarding this. I've never had any problems until recently when my muscle endurance dvd started freezing up. Collage replaced it for me (twice!) and now the same thing started happening with KPC! Very frustrating when you're in the middle of cardio and it just freezes up! Any suggestions??
Thanks,
paula

I just noticed the previous post! Sorry about the double post - I'll try the tips mentioned.
Thanks,

I had this same problem with Imax2 and C & W. It started after I had the workout for quite awhile. I was really getting frustrated as it is one of my favorites and I thought I was going to have to replace it. Well I tried another DVD Player and no problem ever again. I had cleaned the heads etc to no avail and had had no problems with other Cathe DVDs. The weird thing is they are both Sony players but different model numbers. Go figure.

I have an ME that skips half of the tricep section. I didn't notice it until I'd had it for several months. I have ME on video and bought the DVD for Boot Camp. When I contacted SNM about it, they couldn't find any record of me purchasing the DVD from them (which I did, but I don't remember exactly when.) They didn't replace it :( I guess I'll have to use the tape until it dies. So much for a lifetime guarantee.
