I have noticed that I have spots from old acne marks. Nothing too deep but enough to notice. I didnt know if anyone has had this problem and what they did about it. I thought about avons microderabrasion tool to see if that would help with the marks,maybe getting rid of the top layers of skin. I also have enlarged pores and tried oil of olay enlarge cleansing wash with microbeads and didnt see anything major with it. I am more bothered by these spots though or light scars from previous breakouts. any suggestions? thanks!

i have been a faithful user of retin A, given to me from my dermatologist, which is proven to reverse sun damage (have a ton of it)........but overtime, i have to admit my skin looks GREAT all around!! I have a few faint acne scars, and dont know if it helped them, but it truly tranformed my skin, where others notice too.
i'll tell ya, when ya first use the stuff, it is like a chemical peel...it's rough and you have to build up to it daily.
doc said it would not cut my risk for skin cancer, but cosmetically, it would be helpful, and i could not agree more.

Ditto to the Retin A! I've used it (at night) for over 20 years, and swear by it. I've added glycolic acid (in the morning) into the mix, and my skin looks even better than before.
To get rid of acne scars though, you'll have to do more than over-the-counter stuff. A woman who works at the dermatologist I go to had 2 Fraxel treatments (www.fraxel.com) and it was amazing the difference it made. She used to have read deep acne pitting, now it's almost perfectly smooth. I noticed the difference after the first treatment, she didn't point it out to me. They're $800 a treatment where I go to

I have found The Body Shop's Vitamin C Plus Time Release Capsules work great for me. It's $27/bottle, which will last about a month. I noticed improvement after about a week or two of regular use.
