Sizes to buy for Ryka shoes

I've been reading all the posts about good shoes to do Cathe's workouts in, and after reading the rave reviews about Ryka, I'm going to give them a try. I want to get the Rhythm II, but can't find them in any stores here, so I will order them online.

My question is...I've heard from some that they recommend to size up from your normal shoe size. I was wondering if that is true and how much to size up. I tried on a different style of Ryka's and it seemed I would wear my usual size. Also, for those who have ordered online (ie, A-Jock) where did you get them? Any advice from Ryka veterans is much appreciated!

Thanks!
Nicole

Hi Nicole,

I actually just ordered a pair of Ryka's for my mom's birthday. I am a size 8, and she is an 8.5. I ordered her the 8.5 but tried them o to see if they were true to size. They were definitely a little to big on me, so I think that the sizes are pretty typical. I know that some of the Ryka's are made in whole sizes only, and if this is the case, if you are a whole size, stick with it, and if you are a half, go up half a size.

Nicole:

I bought the Ryka Rhythm shoe a few months ago. Love it. I wear a street shoe size 8 or 8.5, and in a Ryka, I always take a size 9. So I don't think you have to size up very much at all. You could always order a couple of sizes and return the pair that does not fit.

Nicole, I always go up 1/2 size. In street shoes I wear 7 and all my Ryka's (and other workout shoes) are 7.5

Rykas are great. I have found them to be true to my size, which is a 7. The only pair that I found ran small were a pair of "walk/run" Rykas. I have a pair of Iseums which I bought in a size 7.5 (to be safe) and they are fine, although I would have been good in my usual 7. Rykas are the only brand I wear now!
Have fun,
Lisa
