SITG Check-In July 6, 2005

Happy Wednesday!

Didn't do so well last night. I had a slice of pizza and a beer (well, girly beer--Smirnoff Ice) so I was a bit bloated and not sucking in at all. Also, though I'm keeping my back pretty straight, at work I find myself hunching my shoulders up when I type, like I'm doing shrugs. Part of this is that I'm sore from some serious weight workouts, part of it is stress. Either way, it can't be attractive or good for my back!

How are you doing today?

I have to admit, I didn't think about SITG yesterday after work until I sat down this morning to work and saw my post-it and immediately sucked it in. This is going to take a lot more practice.

Goodmorning Ladies, I'm still thrilled with this challenge. On the 4th, after a full day with family & lots of food, I found myself feeling a bit depressed. As I washed dishes, I remembered SITG, stood up straight & sucked, & immediatly felt like I could conquer the world & wanted to! It's amazing how changing our posture can have such an dramatic & immediate effect on mood & self-esteem. I remind myself many times a day, & love the psychological results as much as the physical. I'll keep sucking;-)

I'm still sucking away here. Still bloated though. I'm wearing some pants today that require sucking, so I have no choice, but I'm certainly much more conscious of it.:)

I am sucking but I really have to work on not rounding my shoulders and slumping. I use to be so good at it,don't no what happened.

Susan - That's wonderful! Thank you for pointing out the posture-mood connection. I, too, notice that when my posture is dead on, I feel somewhat empowered. My co-workers may not see the difference, but it's there!
