sit and stand

Hi Cathe:
I am doing the sit and stands with a 40 IB weight, it feels so good!!!! I can only do seven. my question is: will the sit and stands target my Glutes as well as my legs?? I want very toned (Glutes).
 
They sure will !

Even though "sit n stand" squats are a variation of traditional squats, they still qualify as squats and, therefore, target the same muscles as squats. Squats target the thighs, glutes/buttocks, and hamstrings. So, yes, you will most definitely target the glutes with "sit n stands"

What are sit and stands?

I need a lot of work in the glute area and I never heard of sit and stands? Can you tell me how they are done?

in PS legs

They are squats with a chair. You have the barbell of weights on your back and you sit onto the chair for one count (don't sit back, keep body forward), then you stand up, in the squat position (very close to the chair) and hold for 4 counts, stand upright and go right back to the chair again. These kill after about 5 of them especially after you have already done a number of squats with the PS legs tape. I don't know how many reps Cathe does, but I barely barely finish the last one. Hope this helps.
