signs of pregnancy???

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering what were everyones signs of pregnancy? For the last 3 monthes my periods have been all over the place. In Aug, I went 1 week over. Then in Sept/Oct I went 42 days. This is from the time my period began to the next.I had my last period Oct 5th.I am heading into my 33rd day.I took a test yesterday that said I wasn't pregnat. But my boobs(ever since yesterday)have been REALLY sore. And my breast are NEVER sore before I start my period. In the past couple of monthes when my periods were fooled up I still had the symptoms of starting my period...mood swings,cramping..etc.This month nothing.
Is it possible that the test was wrong? I have decided that I am going to wait until I get to the 43rd day to test again b/c the test are SO expensive.
I have a 6 year old but I was only 16 when I got pregnat.I can remember my breast being sore then but everything else seems to be a big blur.Right from the day I found out,I was sick.
wouldn't it be nice if we could see what is going on inside of our bodies???
Any advice would be great, other then that I will let everyone know when I retest or if I start.I think my husband really wants me to be.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-05-02 AT 08:14PM (Est)[p]Hi Lori,

I am probably going to be absolutely no help here whatsoever, but when I was initially pregnant before I found out I found tea tasted like ditch water, certain smells would be repulsive, yet in a non-pregnant state they wouldn't bother me, becoming hysterical over the slightest thing. With my second and third pregnancy, my rib cage area swelled really badly, so much so that I couldn't work out was wrong with me ! I always got thrush (which I have only suffered with after a course of anti-biotics and in the early stages of pregnancy) which was a drag, but it is quite common in pregnancy. Going to the loo alot for a pee and experiencing the most unbelievable tiredness which would zonk me out for ages !
And I know this is going to sound weird but when I fell pregnant with my second child, I just knew, I had a really strange feeling 2 days after I had ovulated, that I was 'with child'. I kept trying to shrug off this feeling as we had been trying for 6 months, and I didn't want to get my hopes up too high, and my strange feeling was right, I was pregnant, and I came down with thrush before I missed my period, so everything added up !

Sorry if this has been no help at all, but I suppose everyone has different experiences ! Keep us informed, Lori !

Anna :)

PS: I also didn't get ANY signs of PMS before missing the first period.

SHORTNESS OF BREATH!!!! I had to train a new co-worker and I got out of breath just talking.

I also had some headaches and fatigue, but at work I was working unusually hard and had time pressures, and hence stress. So it is hard to disentangle that from pregnancy. (The fatigue continues.)

No breast soreness. Food aversions and cravings kicked in later for me. The s.o.b. was immediate.

Hi Lori,

I had the really sore boob thing going on when I fell pregnant - it hurt just to touch them lightly, so this could be a sign. If I remember correctly, it is possible to get a false negative on a pregnancy test, as sometimes the level of HCG in your urine (the hormone produced ONLY when you are pregnant) may not be strong enough if you do the test too soon. My advice would be to wait a few days and take the test again. If you are still unsure after this, and still experiencing symptoms, get a test done by your GP.

Hope this helps - let us know how you get on!

Hi

With all 3 of my babies- the very first symptom I had (even before my period was missed) was really sore breasts. I am like you, they don't normally get sore even with my period. With my first I did not know what was going on, but my #2 and #3, I was excited when I had they symptom becuase I knew what it meant. So for me, sore breasts mean pregnant.

Also, I was mind numbingly tired even before my period was missed, about 2-3 days before it was due, I just could barely function I was so tired.

Just wanted to let everyone know that there isn't any babies comming my way yet, but thats o.k. My husband doesn't mind trying...:)
I am trying to learn how to do this icon thing so bare with me.Hope everyone else is feeling great.
