Shugga-Sugar

There's no need to say 'no' to your morning sweet tooth, but there's also no need to start your day with unhealthy sweets. What about fruit before breakfast? Ripe fruit is a perfect morning boost of sweetness, IMO.

Right now, persimmons are in season (I just discovered them last year), and a fully ripe persimmon (very soft, like a very ripe tomato) is just yummy! That might not appeal to you, but I'm sure you can find some fruit that does (I'm also partial to mangos in the summer, and mixes berries, and frozen dark sweet cherries, and semi-thawed frozen açaí pulp blended with some chocolate non-dairy 'milk').

Lorie,

Your first post is very well-said! I couldn't agree more. I don't drink, don't do drugs, have worked-out religiously for eight years (I started at 15!), eat pretty healthily (no fast-food or pop and not one single french-fry in eight years) and furthermore, it could be a lot worse!!

That said, if I want to eat some semi-sweet chocolate chips dipped in peanut butter....well, I do! :)

Nobody's perfect, and who wants to be? I find perfection rather boring! So, I say, bring on the high-fructose corn syrup. I'll just add some more time to my workout!!

It's especially hard right now with Halloween in the air!!! Lots and lots of candy. I do great at not eating fast foods but when it comes to sugar (candy, cookies, chocolate) I fail! But I guess like others say, enjoy in moderation. I don't think you are the only one. Holidays are coming, just plan on doing Cathe's new years rotation to burn off those extra calories!!!}(
