I ran 5.91 miles on the TM this morning. I am trying to hit 6 miles in 60 mins. I am sooo close...it's killin' me! LOL I was exhausted when I was done. I thought my legs would fall off!:eek: :7

I am at my mom's for a visit right now. When I go home I have some housework to do since I won't have much time after today to take care of it with the holiday fast approaching. After it's all done and DS is in bed I am still hoping for the stretch and/or yoga. :)

Wendy, great job on the TM run. You are so close to the 6 in 60.

Maeghan, way to go with the house cleaning on the house cleaning. MIne needs it badly, but will have to wait til the weekend. Luckily I don't have family caming in for the holidays. ARe the boys feeling better?

OK, did my WO. I did B&G all the way thru. This one kicked my butt tonight (no pun intended). My abs were ON FIRE! I really felt this one and now I feel beat.

I am so tired tonight. Thinking my Sarcoidosis is acting up again, but hey what are ya gonna do. Work thru it like always! I am not letting it get me down, no way no how!

I still have more housecleaning Jean! Decluttered a bit today. Good job on that WO!

Wendy- awesome run!! I was getting bored with my TM so I have taken a break for a few weeks from it. Having fun with the new stuff. But I need to get back on it so I don't lose my endurance.

Shrinking Violets Check-in

This is a late check-in for me. I was too tired to check-in this morning. I jogged on my rebounder and did Slow and Heavy Triceps and Biceps, but I have to confess that I caught myself going through the motions. My focus was not all that great this morning. I have been tired all week. This was another super stressful day at work too.

Thankfully, I had a good day and received some surprises. My Cathe calendar arrived in the mail! :7 I love it! The inspiring note is a nice personal touch. The photos are beautiful. I am glad to see the Kick Max picture in January. It is one of my favorite workouts, and the picture is a great visual inspiration for the start of a new year! I am totally inspired and ready to commit and get fit in 2007. :7

When I returned to the office, the UPS man delivered my package from Cathe with the Gym Styles as well as Body Fusion and High Step Circuit. :) I am previewing the Body Fusion DVD now. I wish I had this one when I started my journey at 260 pounds or even when I started training with Cathe. She is so cute in this workout. This will be perfect for introducing my overweight friends to Cathe. I also received a Christmas present in the mail at work. :) This must have been my day for deliveries!

My cycle finally started tonight. The cravings will decrease soon, and the bloat will depart. I need to endure one more day of stress at work this week. I am looking forward to a long and restful weekend.

Tomorrow is fun cardio Friday! :7 Sweet dreams, Violets! I will be back tomorrow for personals.

Heather, So are you enjoying the Slow and Heavy rotation? I have always hemmed and hawwed over picking up S&H. I will probably give in one day as I am addicted to Cathe, but not yet...:p I am thinking S&H would be a very good program to use to maintain my P90X results-assuming I survive the full 90 days in the first place! LOL I'll have to see...maybe S&H can be a Birthday present!;) Isn't being a woman such a drag sometimes? I never noticed it when I was younger-even as old as my late 20's but now that I am in my 30's it appears that I start to gain that dreaded PMS weight a full 2+ weeks before my cycle begins! ACK!x( It's funny though cause the scales goes up and comes back down afterwards but my clothes fit the same through out. It's mental for me...knowing I am 5 pounds heavier just irritates me! LOL Okay...I'm done writing my book now. Have a great day!:)

Meg, Are you a flylady gal? Sounds like you could be. I've looked at that website but quickly dismissed it. It looks like too darned much work!:7 :7 :7 I know the TM can get boring. I think the fact that I have to go to the gym to use it actually helps me though. Once I am there I will not leave with out working out and if I have a run planned, unless I am REALLY struggling, I will feel guilty if I do something else instead. I would like a treadmill of my own if ever we have a house big enough for one but I gotta wonder if that will hamper my drive to use it???

I have the leg blast premix on tap again today!:eek: Meg, please be at the ready (since you are a fireperson)w/the hoses to put the fire out in my legs when I am done! :7 :7 :7
I also have a short cardio to do after B&G. I want to give 1/2 of IMAX2 a shot but I am wondering if my legs will be able to handle it!? It could be a VEEEERY BAAAAAD idea!:p

WOW, it's already time for that 2nd cup of coffee! Lucky for you ladies or I'd just keep on "talking"! LOL

Shrinking Violets Check-in

Happy Friday, Violets! This has been the longest week. I am so glad it is almost over.

I did the Low Impact Circuit cardio blast timesaver premix this morning. It was not my best performance by far, but I got up and did something. My cycle started last night, so the bloat should depart soon. I am hoping to have more energy next week.

Wendy, I love the Slow and Heavy Series. It takes a determined focus though. It is a mental workout as well as a physical one. I love Cathe’s personality in this series. She rests for a full minute after every set, so she fills that time by talking! I totally agree that the female stuff gets worse with age. Just wait a few years! By the way, you are chatty and smiley this morning! ;-) I would do half of IMAX2 before Butts and Guts as an extended warm-up. I would be tripping over the step if I did the leg blast premix first!

Hi everyone. Today I did the Upper body premix from Body Max 2. I think I'm going to be feeling it tomorrow since I have not done upper body in a while.

Hope everyone is ready for Christmas. I'm not. I guess I'll be doing the holiday scurry tomorrow.

I AM SO FRIED. I did BM2 double UB. I matched Cathe's weight, except the second shoulder presses I dropped to 10#. I thought the military presses were going to kill me. I managed every bicep one matching her weight (15#) except the last few concentration curls on the second round. I also did the abs. I wasn't expecting them to double each one of those moves too LOL! What a surprise. i thought it would be regular ab work one time thru. NOT! So I am fried, commpletely.
Stuffing face now.

High 5's Meg! AWESOME! I wanted to try that workout a while back but I chickened out! Now I see that it was for good reason!:p

I'm off to start my work out soon and my L/B will probably be as fried as your U/B is by the time I am done!;)

Wendy, there is the tricep move when you do dips off the 5# DB with one leg in the air.......yeah, almost couldn't hold my leg up cuz they are so fried from yesterday LOL! I am going for the whole body burn baby. Wonder how I will feel tonight and tomorrow! You should be scared of that one! It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't use 15#ers for most of the moves. THe rest is 5#. BUT, double all that! Ouchy!!
Have fun burning up the legs!

Maegan, could you do the side planks and then the air snow angel pose? My arms were so fried I was shaking so bad I couldn't even hold the planks for 10 sec. let alone try the angels.

I survived! B&G leg blast premix followed immediately by IMAX2 intervals 1-5 w/o the warm up! WOOH! What a burn!}(

Shrinking Violets Check-in

Good morning, Violets! I am procrastinating again this morning instead of doing my workout. This is the last day of my Slow and Heavy Series rotation. I need to do Chest and Back. Tomorrow is my planned rest day. I start my recovery week on Monday. I am tired and desperately need one after 3 weeks of heavy lifting, but the timing is not the best with all the celebration food around. I am eating much less than I did the week of Thanksgiving but still more treats than usual. I ate a few bites of fried cheesecake for lunch yesterday, but we will not talk about that. ;-)

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate and love and hugs to everyone. Enjoy the goodies. :9 Cathe will kick our butts in January! :eek:

Hey girls! We are light on the posts here again! Get movin' ladies!:p

Y'day I got up and headed out to the gym around 7-7:30 in the morning. I hopped on the TM and intended to run for 30 mins...well, I barely made the mile (10 min) and I was spent!:eek: I think I was asking too much of my body too early in the day so I got on the elliptical instead and did an intense 22 min elliptical interval work out to make up the time.

Today I did 20 mins of Core synergistics and 20 mins of Plyo x. It's a far cry from what I had originally planned but I just wasn't into the work out I had planned so I did what I wanted. A little tweak to the program for next week and all will work out fine!;)

I celebrated Christmas with my mom and my sister y'day since I won't see either of them today or tomorrow. My mom bought me a chin up/pull up bar!! I'm very excited! P90X is right around the corner!!!! }( }( }(

Okay, that's all for now...I am off to start prepping for tonight's party!
