Good morning, Violets! Happy Palm Sunday to those who celebrate. Happy April Fool’s Day to everyone else. For those who are attending the Road Trip, can you believe that we will be working out together and enjoying our Sunday morning brunch 19 weeks from this morning? I am starting a new rotation this morning and decided to plan my workouts for 2 weeks at a time. Since recovery weeks do not work for me, I am returning to 5 days of Cathe workouts every week with a rest day and an active recovery day (a Kari Anderson or Christi Taylor hi-lo workout or some other form of gentle cardio plus a TLT) as well as running in the pool at the club a few nights a week. Mom and her husband are planning to spend Mother’s Day weekend with me. That gives me 40 days of super clean eating before they arrive so I can enjoy a few treats during my vacation with them. This is my general game plan for my Cathe Road Trip rotation:
Sunday morning - step or interval step (Cathe)
Monday morning - cardio plus lower body or lower body circuit (Cathe)
Tuesday morning - cardio plus upper body or upper body circuit (Cathe)
Wednesday morning - kickboxing (Cathe)
Thursday morning - total body circuit (Cathe)
Friday morning - rest
Saturday morning - hi-lo (Kari or Christi) plus functional fitness (Jen or Tracie)
It is time to flip your Cathe calendar again. I love the “Work, Work!” motto for this month. That is exactly what I need to do. March was not a good month for me. I finished my recovery week yesterday, and I am so ready to return to my beloved Cathe workouts this morning. My name is Heather. I am addicted to Cathe cardio. I have withdraws when I do not get my fix. Cathe can put me on permanent preorder.
By the way, I fasted chocolate and cheese for 40 days and did not drop a pound. I gained 4 pounds during my recovery week and gained an inch in my chest, an inch in my waist, an inch in my abdomen, and an inch in my hips. I enjoyed a few treats this past week, so my eating was not as clean as it has been. Feel free to give me a kick in the butt. It is not really necessary because I am good at falling on my butt and bouncing back again. The party is over. It is time to start training for the Cathe Road Trip. My weight and measurements have been recorded. A friend and I are getting together early this morning to take progress pictures before my morning workout.
This is the dawn of a new month. Spring has arrived, and bluebonnets are blanketing the beautiful Texas landscape. (I added a picture of bluebonnets to my avatar for everyone to enjoy!) I am ready to break free from this fat cocoon. Yes, it is time. Saddle up your horses and get ready for a great and glorious adventure. Come along if you dare! Let’s train hard this month! Some of us are training for the Road Trip, and all of us are training for life!
Blessings,
Heather B.
