Should I split S&H? Did you?

Going to start a S&H Rotation soon. Was anyone able to do a whole S&H tape (60 min) followed by a short cardio session (30 min) or was that too much? I don't want to burn out. Which rotation would you choose:
M S&H Legs & Shoulders
T Step Fit
W S&H Chest & Back
Th Cardio Kicks
F S&H Triceps & Biceps
S IMax
-or-
M S&H Legs CTX 10-10-10
T S&H Shoulders CTX Kickbox
W S&H Chest CTX All Step
Th S&H Back CTX Power Circuit
F S&H Triceps CTX Step Intervals
S S&H Biceps MIC Hi/Lo

Any help would be most appreciated - thank you!

Hi,

I was able to do the upper body workouts (S&H chest/back and Bicep/Tricep) each followed by a 30-min. cardio (like step or 10-10-10 or treadmill). BUT - when I tried to follow Legs/Shoulders with the step portion of BodyMax, my legs just felt much too heavy and after only about 2 minutes, I had to quit. I hate to quit but I convinced myself to "listen to my body"! So I have learned to reserve Legs/Shoulders to do alone on one day. I like your first rotation better, just because doing S&H almost every day might get to me mentally. I like it split over 3 days. If you are worried about only 3 cardio days you could add 10-10-10 after one of the upper body workouts or something like that. Have fun!

I really like the looks of your rotation. When I do the two S&H parts together, that's about all I can do in a day. The only thing I would personally change is to go in this order:
legs
chest
back
triceps
biceps
shoulders

or something to that effect. The chest and back tapes manage to get the shoulders, and some of the tricep exercises work the shoulders isometrically as well. If I do the shoulders back to back with any of those other parts, I can really feel the shoulders getting overtaxed. Just MHO, in my own humble experience.

Thanks you gals! I will definitely pace myself with this series. And I like the order in which you split the tapes Gretchen, I will follow that set up. I had grand visions of me doing cardio the same day as a S&H tape and then Power Hour later in the week, but I already think that might be too much. I want to enjoy working out, not dread it!

I often do cardio, then a half of a S&H tape (except Legs which I do alone, or combined with upper body only). For example, tonight I am doing StepWorks followed by the triceps part of S&H Triceps/Biceps. This works well for me. I like to do the cardio first.
