Do any of you know of other brands that have a "D" width?

It seems to me that NB is the only company that makes narrow and wide widths.

Thanks, fitkansaschick

I've had great luck with Adidas shoes, x-trainers & trail runners. I haven't actually checked if they are marked as a C or D width, but find they fit my wide foot (& narrow heel). Must confess that I love my New Balance x-trainers. Pricy, but what a great fit. It's tough to find anything but Nikes! Good luck on the shoes & the 8K!!

This is my problem, too! I don't know of any other running shoes that come in a wide width, but Propet makes an excellent walking shoe. I was amazed that I finally found a shoe that was comfortable!

Do you find that other people can't believe that finding shoes in your width is a problem? I have a friend who pooh-poohed my not buying an outfit or dress when we shopped because I didn't have shoes to go with it. She said, "What's the problem? You can always find shoes!" Ha! Then she went shoe shopping with me.... She finally understands my dilemma!

Good luck in your race!

Are your feet too small to buy men's sizes? That's what I do. I buy men's ASICS and they are plenty wide.

Men's sizes

I wear men's shoes for running and they work great.

I only love my new balance 713's for running. I didn't care for the 714's which they now have. We looked on the search engine for weeks to find them, but I am a 8B not D. But they did have some larger weights in some places. Check out in your search engine:
New balance North Shore (chicago)
also, in Boston
and I got my shoes from If the shoe fit's. they messed up my credit card and their customer svc isn't too swift, but I did get the sneakers and it all worked out at the end. I think they are in New Jersey.
Hope that helps.
