Shoe suggestion

Need help here.

Any suggestions for a good cross-trainer--especially for run/walks?
I have a pair of Ryka walking shoes which are old as the hills. I used to use these for exclusive walking, and used Ryka Motif cross-trainers for run/walks. That system worked pretty well, though I still had issues with blisters in the heel area (Motif's were a little loose in the heel--even with 2 pairs of socks, there was too much friction when I walked fast).

Just wondered what your opinions were.

Thanks,
Michele

Hi Michele,
I would recommend wearing running shoes for run/walks. My favorites are Asics Cumulus - they are very cushiony, but you will really need to experiment and see what is best for your feet.

I just bought Ryka Dimensions for running and Ryka Alchemy III for aerobics, stepping and weight training. They are very comfortable and offer alot of support. They are on sale at Famous Footwear for $39.99 each. Also, if you do a search on "support shoes" you will see that there have been many discussions about this topic in past forums.:)

I just wear Easy Spirit pumps. They're especially good for basketball. KIDDING! Where have you been, girl? I missed you. By the way, I wear Asics cross-trainers. They look horrible on me, but are the only things that fit.

Didn't you wear Hush Puppies for high school lacrosse????

For Pete's sake, it has been a long time. Hey--I was just in Inner Harbor for a conference. Sweltering, oppressive, and horribly unconfortable.
I will e-mail you privately, so as not to offend everyone else here.

Michele
