Shoe size question

I have a pair of New Balance right now and they are 7 1/2 and feel comfortable when stepping, but when doing lunges my toe hits the top on one shoe, the other still feels fine, I was going online and looking at the pair of Ryka's and wanting to get a pair, I usually wear a size 8 and they even feel a bit sloppy inside the shoe, what size should I go before I order online? walking and stepping I can get away with the 7 1/2 but lunges and squats I need something bigger.

You should probably go to a specialty shoe store in your area. For example, there are dealers that only sell running shoes and most of the sellers are very knowledgable about running shoes and most of them are runners.

Go to an athletic shoe store that is reputable and they should be able to suggest what is the right size for your feet.

Just a thought. Good luck

Leslie I also have the same problem but I really think that everyone's one foot will be a little bigger then the other. My suggestion is to go up the next size. I think with the Ryka I would definitly go up a size because they do run small so maybe they would be perfect for you.

I have looked all around and can't find any rykas here. I have tried all the new balances there are. I will go check the Lady foot locker, but for now I am going to stick with the swimming pool to let my knees heal yet again!! I have to keep working out!! I came so far! and yes I am going to toot my own horn, I am very proud of myself for the acclomplishments I made ( bad spelling I know LOL )

I use the same size tennis shoe for exercising and running and walking, can't afford to get a different shoe for everything. And yes everyone has a foot a little larger than the other as far as I know...... Rhonda :7

but I am getting a running shoe now......... it will be used for all my exercises
