Ha Ha Michele. I had a yellow shirt and my husband used to call me LaLa.

Once I was admiring my largeness in the mirror and said to my husband, "I think it is only my stomach, you really can't tell from the back."

His comment? "No, your butt is huge. It is like a counterbalance for your stomach."

That's what I get for being married to an engineer!

Melissa

Keep your head in line. Your butt will follow.

Michele~My MIL made me a red dress for a formal Christmas party we were going to when I was 9 months pregnant. When I put it on, my DH said I looked like a red Christmas bell!! Need I say, I cried??? HORMONES! We still joke about it today...33 years later!!!

LOL!

Both Melissa and Debbie H.

Melissa, my DH is an Engineer also and I can so relate to whatever reaction you had to his comment.

Bless their little hearts.

You guys are FUNNY! Shelley, you sure are a brave woman to have shared your photo.

Now, {{{whispering very quietly}}}, I'm hoping nobody ELSE decides to share theirs, or I'll have to dig mine out next!

If I can get the scanner working on this computer, I may have to share a few...it ain't pretty! 4'11 and 160 pounds (with each). Not sure how I didn't break every bone when I stood up, which was torture. Stretch marks??? Head to toe!

When I was delivering my first, my dad came in the room and had the balls to tell me I looked like a fat woman who was also pregnant...not just a pregnant woman...but a fat woman pregnant! We buried him 3 days later! (KIDDING) The epideral crippled my capacity to do any harm. I actually used those words as motivation to get the weight off.

Shelley, I just don't recognize you. You look completely different now! Just think how many women have babies, and don't lose the weight. All of you who did should feel very proud of yourselves!

A round of applause is in order for all you Moms who lost your pregnancy (and related) weight.

At my DH's old job, a female co-worker was training the new woman. The new woman happened to be the owners daughter. The woman training patted the new womans belly and asked "when are you due". The new woman replied "I'm not pregnant".

It is one thing to ask the question and be wrong but to go as far as patting the belly...talk about wanting to crawl under your desk and die!!

Me...no question I was pregnant! It's just that when your 6 months and people think your 9.5 months...

Hey Shelley,

You were pregnant with the most precious person in your life so don't be so hard on yourself! Besides, you took control and lost the weight and work hard every day to KEEP IT OFF so KUDOS TO YOU! :)

Shelley! Thanks for sharing...you are very brave. Pat yourself on the back because not only did you lose the baby weight, but you became fit and strong!

This thread has me laughing out loud!:7 The things our bodies have been through having children, but it IS all worth it.

Shelley, I found some pictures recently when I was pregnant with my first. Oh my!! The funny thing is my dh gained weight too. I was on bedrest with my first (dd), and then once I was released I was too nervous to do anything. I did work out with the two boys though, so I "only" gained 40+ with each.

I had to laugh at the poster who thought she looked only pregnant from the front. I swore the same thing, but when I asked dh he just would give me this look. LOL! Poor guy, what's he to say?

You're brave for sharing! ;-) You look great now!

Shelley,

The pic doesn't even look like you now. I had to go back and look at your picturetrail again. You look awesome and your abs are quite impressive! Oh and that last pic of Sophie is beautiful.

Thanks Wendy. I don't think it looks like me either, and it certainly FEELS like another life. I think my abs are better now;)

Sophie is a doll.:)

Shelley, my goodness, this picture doesn't even look like you at all!! Congratulations to you for your hard work and determination. YOu look fantastic and you're an inspiration to many on the forums.

Michele:)

Shelley, I would never have imagined you like this. Especially the hair! LOL! You have gotten pretty HOT in your old age! :7 :7 :p
