Sept. Rotation/Check-in Thurs. 9/9

Hello -

I did IMAX2 this morning since I did Cardio Kicks in place of Imax earlier this week. Tomorrow is LL and interval running for me. I have to get the leg work in otherwise the thighs get fat(ter) fast these days. x(

Hope everybody is doing well and continues to check in. It helps me stay on track if I know I have to report in. :D

Last night I did HSTA.. Tonight is a 6 mile run and some abs. I am trying to work those legs 3-4 times a week so my legs don't get fat(ter) either!

Hey Beverly,

I have a quick question for you. One of the reasons I took running up (aside from its leg-slimming benefits) is that it really shapes your calves. I have those Hillary Clinton calves - kind of shapeless, so I was really hoping that running would shape up my gastro muscle. I noticed from your pics that you have great calves. When you run, do you hit with your heel and push off or do you hit more flat footed?
Right now, I am running more flat footed and as a result, nothing is shaping up, so I'd like to change that.

Any advice you can offer would be great.

This morning was Cardio Kicks and abs from Supersets. Those oblique exercises on the ball are a killer and have really defined my abs even more:)

I really have not paid much attention, but I run heel, ball, toe..

I also noticed doing the calve sections from L&G and PP, PS L&A have helped slim and make my calves look better than just running does. Keep up the running!!! :D

I'll second that, Bev. I noticed my calves really shaping up when I started doing PLB and LL.
 
RE: Sept. Rotation/Check-in Thurs/Fri 9/9-10

Hello ladies,
Yesterday was kick box day for Sept rotation. I chose KPC, including abs instead of Cardio kicks. Then followed it with 15" of really good stretching. Wow that stretching is helpful.
Today, Friday is PH.

Beverly I just want to add that your running ability is also an inspiration for me. I don't know if I'll ever run as much as you, but I'm glad to be improving. I might add your legs are NOT Fat(ter) in your pics, really!!

I like the idea of working legs 4xper week, but found after 5 weeks I needed to change. However, doing a periodic rotation of legs 4xper week alternating with legs only 2xper week and extra stretching appeals to me. I am wondering if really stretching more often and better will really elongate leg muscles to the point of noticing. That is the claim of Miranda Esmonde White on her classical stretch workout. If so , I'm game. Plus my legs feel good afterwards!
