Slept better last night thanks to Tylenol PM.

I have CCv5 scheduled for myself today and looking forward to it.

Also feel very slight Doms in the buttocks area so I guess I did work my muscles yesterday :p

Glad you had a good night sleep. Have fun with your workout. I have SJP on tap today. Haven't done it yet. Couldn't get out of bed...stuffy nose and sore throat. UGGH! Feels like I swallowed glass...not sure if I will call DR. Its strange no one here is sick. :confused: Could I have caught internet germs??? LOL

Today I have PUB + 25 min run scheduled, but I'm thinking of maybe doing all upper body split from CTX and I still don't know which cardio workout to do. I'll see later on today after work.

Vilma: I'm glad you were able to get a goodnight sleep last night :). Have fun with CCv5 :D

Lori: I hope you're not getting sick! Try to take something for it. I hope you feel better:) Have fun with SJP, I like that workout.

Good Morning Early Risers!!

I feel pretty awake here myself, in spite of having to get up again for Zach's blood sugar checks. (DH was off from work last week, and he did it ALL week!). So I went to bed at 11p, got up at 12:30am, and up again at 3:15am. (I thought about what motivation I had at 3AM to do a workout, just for ha-ha's!..... NONE!). But I did have a hard time getting back to sleep after the 3am check. And then up for good at 6AM. Ugh.

Vilma: on DOMS! Those are always a good thing! I even have some in my lower body, in spite of feeling there wasn't a whole bunch of lower body work in P/P yesterday. Have fun with CC (I know you will!)

Sorry you're feeling crappy! Try to take some Vitamin C (take 1000mg in divided doses today, and then 1 a day until you feel better. I swear that works!). Take it easy on KPC today!! I always get a nasty cold the first time we turn on the heat in the Fall. We haven't done that quite yet!

Ivy: PUB is a good one! Enjoy!

Today for me is Cardio Kicks, which I despised the last time (and the only time) I ever did it. Might end up doing a Turbo Jam instead!!

Good Morning Ladies!!

Today is my rest day...I'm going to fit in an hour of yoga, though...I havent' treated myself to that in awhile.

Vilma- I also have slight doms in the buttocks region...."slight" is the best kind, you know you worked 'em, but it's not too much suffering!

Lori- I don't know how you can work out feeling like that girl! I might be able to do some sjp just because the music would motivate me through it, but take care of yourself girl! I hope you feel better soon!

Ivy- you have my dream workout today .....PUB is my fave, and a 25 min. run is perfect for me......=) But whatever you decided, have fun!

Boingo- I dont have Cardio Kicks.....nor do I intend on getting it...lol I also sub when I'm not particularly caring for a workout.....

Hi everyone..

Just getting ready to start the kids on school lessons for today. A little late start today. The kids were up late last night. Lauren went to a Washington Nationals game with her Dad and Chris was up watching football when we got home from his baseball game. His team lost. But, they played really well..

Today's workout is going to be Power Hour...

Iris: Enjoy your yoga. I love doing Yoga.

Chris: Cardio Kicks is not one of favs either. I do like the section at the end with the punching drills. (a little)

Ivy: Have fun with your workout whatever you decide to tackle.

Lori: Hope you feel better..I got sore throats like that. I seem to always got sore throats when I am sick. Chloroseptic lozenges are great..

Vilma: Glad you got some rest and feel better...

Hey girls checking back with SJP. I think SJP is a great workout one that is not to hard and not to easy. I think it was just the workout that I needed on a blah day. ;) I almost talked myself out of doing it. I am glad I didn't!

My son (not DD -- only boys here!) is sick again today. I guess I'll be calling the dr. when they finally open and see if he needs to go in.

Gosh, the financial news just gets worse every day. We listened in on a Goldman-Sachs earnings report this morning - bleh! I have a feeling this country is headed to the next great depression, I hate to say it.

Ok, on better topics.... good workouts, everyone! Cardio kicks is not a fav, eh? I don't have it. Hope you did Turbo Jam, Chris, because it ought to be fun!! I did a netflix this morning -- Janis Saffel's brand new butt & more. It was not very intense, but whatever. When she was doing deadlifts, she said to be sure not to stick out your butt - it should be as if you're against a wall. I tried that, and did feel a difference, but it also seemed to bother my lower back. There was another exercise she did that Cathe does on L&G I think it is. One leg is out behind you, the front leg bent, and then you lift the bent leg without just lifting your upper body. Do you know the one I mean? I always struggle with it with Cathe, but I think I finally got the pointers I needed this morning and did feel like I was doing them correctly. Whatever -- who cares.... :)

I'm off to hear more depressing news from my husband (we manage my MIL's money and he's on the phone right now with the financial advisor).

Hi ladies. I'm been MIA - our basement flooded over the weekend and killed our internet and TV connections - UGH! Just got it fixed yesterday. We only had 2-3 inches, but it was enough to fry the power cords and modem. Thank goodness for my early bird son Colin who came up to our room at 7:00 am and told us the basement was flooded. Not a good thing to wake up to! I had been planning to sleep in as late as possible, but luckily he woke up pretty early. Our sump pump had died. DH ran out and got a new one and it was all pumped up pretty quickly. Another hour or so and it would have been much worse. The only real casualty seems to be our computer. The furniture was up high enough to not get wet and the other stuff will dry out. Of course, that's where I work out, so I was worried about how soon we'd be able to get things back in working order. But it's all back together now.

Yesterday we had to take Caitlyn for her pre-op testing. She was such a trooper. She had to get a blood test and wasn't too happy about it, but she did great. DH came down with a cold over the weekend. I did my best to keep them apart, but now I have it. If Caitlyn has the slightest sniffle, they'll reschedule the surgery. I just don't think I could bear that. I really want this to be over. I was with her all day yesterday and I'm praying I didn't pass this cold onto her. I also went and donated blood for her - now I need to call them and tell them not to use it since I could pass the cold virus onto her through the blood. UGH - what next?? They also went over the procedure and everything that will happen and of course, the risks. That's when I lost it. I know the risks, but to have to hear them out loud and sign a release is just horrible. As of now, the surgery is still scheduled for Thursday.

Sorry to go on about all that - I just need a release somehow I guess!

OK...on to workouts! I'm still following FF's rotation, but took Saturday and Sunday as rest days. Well, I guess they weren't really rest day - more floodmax cleanup days! Yesterday was Imax2 and today was the total body Push/Pull premix. I was struggling, though, and skipped the repeats of some of the stuff.

Chris, I kind of feel the same way about Cardio Kicks! I was thinking of something else to sub - maybe a Turbo Jam. I'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow. I saw the pictures from your party - your boys are all so cute. Looked like so much fun. I thought you were buying a jousting ring, too! What a great idea - my boys would love that.

Lori, I love SJP - good music and it works you but doesn't kill you! HOpe you are feeling better soon. Sometimes I wonder if viruses (human) can travel through computers! We all seem to be getting sick.

Iris, I've never actually done any yoga. Well, I did about 10 minutes with Wii Fit this weekend and realized how horribly inflexible I am!

Ivy, I did the CTX upper body mix last week - it was good.

Hey Beth...we were posting at the same time. I have that Janis Saffell workout - you know, I think I really hurt my back doing deadlifts with it her way. It was a few years ago and my lower back was really sore after that workout - not in a good way and took a few weeks to get back to normal. Very likely I was doing them wrong, too. I know what move you are talking about with the bent front leg. I don't think it's in L&G - it's driving my crazy trying to remember which DVD it's in! Anyway, we care! ;)

Yea, all the financial news is quite depressing and scary.
 
Joanne! I've been thinking about you so much! Somehow I thought the surgery was yesterday, but I must have been thinking of the pre-op stuff. I sure hope she doesn't catch the cold -- and what a bummer about the blood you donated!

Also a bummer about the flood in the basement! Do you think the computer is salvageable? My DH would be taking it apart and drying off all of the components to try to make it work. :)

I think I won't do deadlifts the Janis way! They always felt like they worked doing Cathe's form, I must say.

So yes, I did a Turbo Jam! I did Cardio Party 3. It was fun, and there were a few things I couldn't do because of my foot, but all in all I got it done, and it felt GREAT!

Iris: An hour of Yoga sounds like a nice treat! I resist stretching or yoga, but i always love it!

Kathy: Hope PH went well! It must have been fun to see the baseball game! Nice weather for it!

Beth: Sorry your son is sick... bummer! I hate the school germs and this time of year sickies. Damn dirty kids!

I was shocked at the financial news yesterday! Wow. I'm trying not to look too much into it, because it's just another thingn to get me stressed about, and I can't do anything about! And I know crap about finances too. ..... Oh! I like Janis! I have a kickboxing workout with her and some guy (who's kind of hot)..he's Spanish...but anyhoow..Yes, I like her. i DO know the one bent knee move you're talking about. YOu feel it in your front leg, right? I like that one! the deadlift the way you did it today doesn't sound right to me. I feel tension in my lower back, but not discomfort,when I do deadlifts. Be careful!!

Joanne: Been thinking about you this week too!! What a crazy weekend there! So glad you got it fixed before it caused more damage. Wow!. So you don't have a computer at home anymore? That would SUCK!! I'd be buying one on my way home today...

. I will keep Caitlyn in my prayers for NOT getting a cold! I know the waiting is killing you all, and especially now that she's getting ready for it. You know, as a nurse, I can deal with so much, but when it comes to my kids, I have a horrible time. I had major panic issues when Zach was first diagnosed with Diabetes. Major. When we switched him over to his pump, I could NOT insert the needle. I truly got a panic attack. I still do about certain things, but it's better. Anyhow, I'm just trying to say I somewhat understand how you feel/felt when they told you the potential side effects from the surgery.

I got some good DOMS from P/P premix yesterday, be aware!

Off to get some soup on the stove for supper. (Beef barley.. Yum! It's a soup kind of day today.) Tonight is my oldest's School Open House, and he also has a band concert . Fun fun! :lol
 
Chris, mmmm, that soup sounds yummy! Love the Elmo! My 10-year-old son is still obsessed with Elmo. He'd kill me if he knew I told anyone that! ;) Still has his Elmo blanket that he got when he was two. Glad to hear you're able to get in some cardio again! I'm still decided what to sub for Cardio Kicks tomorrow. That Janis kickbox workout you're thinking of is Hardcore Kickbox Circuit. Hmmm, I could do that tomorrow. I remember it being really fun and the guy is cool. Thanks for the no cold prayers!

I do have a laptop, so we'll still have computer access at home. The one that's dead is mostly DH's and the kids. I got mine since I work from home on Mondays and someone always seemed to be using the other one (DH!).

Beth, yea, I'm pretty sure it's dead. We haven't taken it apart. I'm leaving that up to DH, since I would probably inflict more damage opening it up. It wasn't running too great, anyway. We may just try to pick up a cheap one.

Hi Everyone!

Today I did All Upper Body Split from CTX , and I really enjoyed that workout! But, before I did All Upper Body, I did LIC step combo 1 and 2 only. It was a great mix. Today work was great and I’m so exhausted right now. Tomorrow is the day for my echo-stress test at the hospital so we’ll see how that goes. I have to be there very early so I have to get up earlier then usual .

Chris: I don’t have PUB; I had it but sold it! I know; I shouldn’t have. I did Upper Body from CTX and that one is fun. WTG on TJ CP3 !! I really miss those workouts!

Iris: I hope you had a great Yoga workout! I haven’t done Yoga in a while; I really need to try to fit Yoga into my schedule. I did CTX upper, because I no longer have PUB .

Kathy: I hope you enjoyed PH. I really enjoyed my workout today.

Lori: WTG on SJP. That workout is pretty fun! WOOHOO on being a Cathlete now ! I can’t wait to get there!

Beth: I hope you DS feels better soon! It’s sad how the economy is right now. I hope it gets better one day though (SOON). It’s very stressful. I had Janis’ Brand New Butt and more DVD a “while” back.

Joanne: Oh no! I’m sorry to hear your basement got flooded. Was it because of a storm (Ike?) or just a lot of rain? I would have freaked out. We don’t mind reading about how you feel and what you are going through. We are here to help . I hope that your DD can get her surgery on Thursday. Please let us know how things go. I will pray for Caitlyn.
