Good Morning:)!
I'm getting up so early on my days off ugh! Today i'm doing KM Combos only and KPC kicking and punching drills then abs. My placement test went better than I thought:) So they are going to put me in College level classes and I don't have to go to the Basic classes yeah! I'm going to see a guidence counsler today. Does anyone start PMSing like 2 weeks b/4 their period? I have it so bad I'm grouchy, irritable, sleepy and my lower back hurts. I have different symptoms each week;(

Good Morning Ladies.......

Today is LowMax...and yesterday was GS Chest/Triceps......I wasn't in a good frame of mind for a couple of days, yesterdays' workout was awful, and my upper back is sore.....from a chest/tri's workout......not good....I hate when I let emotions affect my workouts.....:( How does everyone else do it and mentally make themselves strong to get through the one thing they know and love to do?

Randi- As time has gone on....I've noticed changes in my body, and I've noticed that pms'ing starts earlier (like a week and a half before tmo comes) and that tmo is shorter (3 days).....I wish I knew what to tell you! I've just accepted it and try my best to deal with it.....just know you are not alone!!!

Today is supposed to be Power Max, but since I did an oldie workout yesterday, I don't want to do another one today. I'm going to do RS!!!!! YAY!!! So looking forward to it!!

Randi: I'm so glad your placement test went great!! Have fun with KM/KPC workout today!

Iris: WTG on yesterday's workout! Have fun with LM! I haven't done that one in a while, about 3 yrs, lol!!

I think I am taking a rest day today. We are going to visit my hubby's Aunt and Uncle in Ohio (about 2 hours away). So, I think I will be doing that most of the day...

Good Morning everyone!
God, I'm tired today!... up a LOT with my son's blood sugars overnight. So I'm sleepy and have a one-sided headache starting. Joy, joy. At least it's not a day I have to go into work, I guess.

Today's workout is going to be: MUSCLE MAX, Upper Body & GS: LEGS, floorwork. I guess I'll just try to do it. I can always stop if I'm not doing well. ..

Vilma: Hope you feel better today!! And I hope your daughter's lymph nodes go down. The poor thing had to work too!!

. Sorry your hubby messed up your kitchen too. Mine did some stupid husband tricks as well last night. I tell ya, Men! They make us crazy! I'm thinking maybe I'd have done better with a wife! ;).... The Turbo Jams are by Chalene Johnson , and I got them from Beachbody. But I think they sell them on Amazon too.

Beth: Now I remember how you were splitting up FF's Lower Body Blast w/another rotation too. Sounds like it's working! Actually, now that I've cleaned up my eating, my jeans are fitting me better too. I'm into week #3 of FF's Lower Body Blast. I do the "more protein" too. I eat every 2-3 hours, and always have something high protein. I guess it's helped with my cravings, but not all the way, all the time.

Randi: Congrats on scoring well on your placement test!!!! That must feel good that you can start at a higher level! ...... I have to say, my PMS would start a good week, week and 1/2 before TOM, before I started on the Pill. The thing that got me was the INTENSITY of PMS. I could not STAND myself, I was so freakin irritible and ornery. And I'd eat out of control for a total week too. Oh, plus the zits. My skin was starting to break out like a 15 year old. The Pill has helped so much!


Iris: Sorry you were in a funk yesterday. Some days if I'm not feeling my workout at ALL, I'll just stop. Or try to do something that I really really like, even if it's not on my rotation or even if it doesn't fit. Hope you "feel" LowMax today!

Kathy: Glad to see you check in!!! From yesterday: YES! I'm soooo missing Step and wanting to do it. But on the other hand, I'm soooo grateful I can do SOME good sweaty cardio (Turbo Jams), that it's not bumming me out as much as it could be. I might do one more week of TJ's , maybe try Step without the step next week too. Hope your trip and visit go well today!!

Ivy: Hope you enjoy RS (don't even have to hope, I know you will! FUN FUN workout!!)

Thanks for the info guys:) I was at the gyno 2 weeks ago and she really didn't want to put me on The Pill. I"m already on 2 many other pills for my depression/anxiety:( She said to take motrin or pamprin? not sure, to help that. Crap I forgot!
 
Hey Everyone! Looks like I must have missed at least one post of Vilma's last night --- Vilma, hope everything is ok!

On the PMS thing.... mine also starts a good week or so before, but for me it's the cravings for sweets more than anything else (and yes, Chris, the protein intake doesn't always help with that!). Iris, I mostly never don't want to workout, even if I'm in that funk or headed toward it, so I'm not sure how I can help you there, except to sympathize and tell you I hope you feel happier soon. I think Chris is right to suggest some workout you really like -- once you get going, it's fun, right?

Randi, my bday is the 4th. This year the big school fundraiser is that night but it's really not my cup of tea and I'm having huge guilt about not going. Haven't gone the last two years. And I have a feeling given the economy the donations are going to be way down this year, so I'm tempted to have my excuse be giving a bigger check rather than shelling out for tix & babysitter. It's just not how I want to spend my bday. I want to be with my kids!

I did viper this morning -- I think it's official -- I've done too much step this week. I'm not really hurting, but I'm feeling like I could be. I like viper though -- that's the one with the ME weights thrown in between C&W cardio and IMAX 2 stuff. Buttercup twice this week for me -- that's how I know I'm doing too much step!! :)

Randi, congrats on the exam! Nice that you found out so quickly, too.

Hi Ladies

Taking another unplanned rest day - ugh sorry to be such a downer but who else can understand the importance of trying to stick to a rotation when the body is obviously unwilling to perform?

My entire household it seems is under attack from stupid cootie germs.

My body is achy once again and my head feels as if it will explode and my lower back is still hurting like crazy.

So I am willing myself to being healthy and am going to try & power walk and see if I can manage without barfing along the way :eek:



Randi Happy to hear your placement exam went so well for you. :)

I definitely have started PMsing 2 weeks prior to getting my period and thats the reason why I have made BFF with my heating pad this week (my lower back is so painful it hurts to move) lol I can't take Pamprin or Midol as they make me fuzzy headed so I stick with motrin/advil.

Iris - to answer your question: my workouts are my precious 'me' time and its when I can forget all the B.S. thats going on around me and focus on myself. Since I find I don't do it any other time during the day since I end up getting so busy & preoccupied with my home and family ie who is sick , who needs meds, carpooling for sporting events etc. :)

But when I get depressed and in that dark hole I just don't have energy to workout if that makes any sense.

Now I'm just dealing with my changing body and the aches and pains of being sick that it hurts to lower my head due to cold germs

Chris - bless you on having interrupted sleep and doing your workouts with a broken toe - thats dedication ^5s to you girlfriend.

I awoke to body aches and that sick crud feeling. I guess I wasn't over my cold when I thought I was and am now dealing with it coming back full force. My body is just so tired and achy.

My DD isn't feeling well either she is still achy and can barely walk as those enlarged lymph lodes are in the groin area. They are so huge that it scared me reason why I took her in yesterday.

I'm thinking her belly ring got infected - danged girl kept taking out and inserting different bling and although she didn't tell me.. she took it out. I have my belly ring and have left it alone and it looks nice as hers should have been if she quit playing with it. I'm really hoping they go down in size as she's scared of having surgery to remove them. Only time will tell, I'm really hoping the antibiotic helps.


Beth I was supposed to do the guantlet today but I just don't have the energy my body is just not wanting to cooperate yet; but I am so happy I caved and got that dvd as I really like those workouts!


Joanne How is it going? Is Caitlain recovering well? Still thinking of you all...big hugs!

Okay Ladies I hope you all have a Fantastic Friday I'm going to go and try to take my walk now and see how it goes.

I made it through my workout, in it's entirety!!!

I ended up taking 2 Advil Gels before I started (the headache was really bothering me). I started with MM: Upper body, and thought that if I just got through that, I could do GS: Legs, Floorwork tomorrow. But halfway through Upper Body... My headache disappeared! AHHHHH! I still felt fatigued and kind of out of it, but THE HEADACHE WAS GONE! So I finished it ALL! Even my NONfavorite Lower Body on the Ball!

I had my post-workout snack, and am feeling a world better. Going to head to the grocery store in a few for weekend shopping.

Randi: Too bad about not being able to take the Pill. There are vitamins they suggest help with PMS though. If they are ok for you to take, they're Magnesium and Calcium. They also say Vitamin B6. I tried to take the Vitamin B's and they made me VERY nauseaous. So I stopped.


Beth: Oh that VIPER sounds like fun! I haven't done Circuit work in what seems like forever. I miss it! Be careful on "too much Step". If I do too much, my calf ends up going out on me. Oh I don't blame you for not wanting to be at the fundraiser on your BIRTHDAY! Unless, you get the sitter, go for a bit, and then maybe go out to dinner or somewhere fun the other half. Otherwise, I like your idea of just donating better!!

Off to do my NONfavorite chore of the week: GroceryMax... :eek:

I feel for you on being sick and your body not cooperating with working out. I feel awful for you!! You know I can relate with my toe last week and how funked up I got about it. I'm sure you know your body, but if you start to run a fever at ANY time, you make sure you go to urgent care or your doctor or WHOMEVER, ok?? That back pain worries me! OH my gosh, on your daughter and her painful lymph nodes. that sounds excutiating. Yep, an infected belly piercing would definitely make them swollen down there. Poor girl!


And you KNOW I"m not ras much dedicated to working out, as I am addicted to it, and NEEDING it! That's why I work out with a broken toe and a headache!

NOW, I'm off to the grocery store.....
 
Take those B vitamins on a full stomach -- that will help them go down without problems, I've found.

Vilma -- yikes! For both you and your daughter. I know it's really hard to not be able to work out, but I will tell you that the two weeks this summer where I did not work out did not hurt me one bit -- that is, I don't think I lost any fitness level for those weeks. I came back feeling stronger since I was so well rested. Try to hold that thought.

Chris, I hear you on the step.... I'm more worried about my hips and knees than my calves, but I don't want anything setting me back. I think I'm going to rearrange the next few days of workouts here.

hey guys...sorry for the fly by, but DH got himself and me sick. I want to work out if I feel better but we'll see. Its a cold/flu. But Randi -- based on stuff Vilma had said previously I just ordered gnc vita packs for dh and me.
 
Good Afternoon girls!!!

Checking in really quick; today was a bit crazy for me. I did my workout this morning (RS) and it was SUPER FUN!!!! I was able to finish the whole thing without stopping, WOOHOO!! I don’t have anytime for personals right now because I’m getting ready to go to my neighbors house that she’s having a mini party. I hope you all had great workouts!!! And RS ROCKS!!! I hope you all enjoy your Friday!! J I’ll try to BB tomorrow. Have a goodnight everyone!

P.S. I dyed my hair with the lightest semi-permanent color to make my hair look light red, and didn't WORK!!!:mad: What a waste of $$$. And I don't want to go permanent cause I don't want to damage my hair. Oh well:eek:.

Tomorrow is CW:eek:! I can't wait!! I'll be remembering you guys with the butter cup song:p, lol.
 
Hi ladies! Just wanted to check in quick and let you all know that Caitlyn made it through surgery well. She's still in intensive care and will be for a few days but the doctors say she is doing very well. She's got alot of tubes and IVs attached and wants them out NOW!! Hopefully they will be soon. DH is at the hospital now - we've been switching off. Have to run, but just wanted to let you know everything went OK.

Hottie: Sorry you're sick! Seems to be the trend around here. I'm going to take some extra zinc and vitamin c! Hope you feel better soon..!

Ivy: you sound super busy! the party sounds fun...

Beth: Even on a FULL stomach, the B Vitamins wreaked havoc with my stomach. I wish I COULD take them. Though someone told me they have drops you put under your tongue , too, and those won't make you queasy.

Randi: I take Mulitvit, Zinc, Calcium, Vit D (if I don't get outside), and Fish Oil capsules. Just from Walmart...

Time to shut down , getting ready to sign off and go to bed.... ahhhhh!
