Self Tanner Article - Great...

We just can't win! Still better than tanning they say, but not good in combo with tanning or sun exposure and still age the skin:

This is interesting, because I had planned to use my sunless tanner a little before vacation while getting a few tanning sessions in. Guess I'll nix those plans.

That's actually a relief. I'm beyond pale, I practically glow in the dark and have always felt pressured to use a self tanner (tanning is NOT an option- I actually think they should be illegal for underagers). I've tried self-tanner over and over and have never been able to get it right (blotchy and orange instead of white, yay!!) Now I can feel good about giving up.

I was planning on using my Famous Dave's Tanner for the first time this weekend. Now I'll have to re-consider that!

I'm super, ghostly pale, too, and not in the beautiful, Nicole-Kidman- way -- more in the scary, freckly way. Sigh.;-)

Interesting article. I switched strictly to self tanners a few years ago after visiting the derm for the first time & finding my first spot of skin cancer. I have had one removed from my back & one from my forehead, enough to keep me from sun bathing or the dreaded tanning bed.
Now I have to skimp on my self tanner too?
x( Guess we can't win.

Here, here!! That's what I've been screaming too! I'm a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding in a month, and I live in south Florida. Somehow that's supposed to equate to a fabulous and even tan. HA! I've got this weird farmer's tan-like thing happening with my arms from driving with the windows open and wearing short sleeves. I admit that I've been to the beach a couple times in a tank top to attempt to even it out. Then I realized how silly that way...I'm not going to risk getting skin cancer to look "good" in a wedding. If anyone makes any comments to me about it at the wedding, I'll set them straight. :+ I just wanna be me!!
