Hello, Sooooooooooooosan:

JMFRANE, late of the exalted Road Trip, e-mailed me the joint portrait of you and Rocky. Fiona is sitting on my shoulder as I write this, and she wanted me to note that Rocky looks like he's going a little gray around the paws. Very distinguished.

Pardon me for barging in...

... but, having met Rocky in "person," so to speak, I feel compelled to add that not only is he graying (everywhere), but he is also showing some distinct signs of arthritis. Dare I say that, quite honestly, he is stiff as a board all over.

Sadly, I think Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosan has been fibbing to us about Rocky's age and state of fitness. It seems perfectly clear to me that he's positively geriatric. AJ, you need to gently alert Fiona about this, I think -- just in case she harbors any sort of long-distance emotional attachment to Rocky, she needs to know that theirs would indeed be a May - December 31st romance.

Well, he IS a gray squirrel, after all. (Maybe it was always too dark for Fiona to notice ;-).)

I do think he's been showing his age lately, though (like Kathy said, stiff joints and such), and all those Reese's he's been eating have put on a bit of padding. I was a little disappointed in his energy level during the Road Trip. He barely moved! I think it's time for Fiona to come by and crack the whip.

Is there a chance you might make the next trip, A-Jock?

I E-mailed a pix to you of our dearly beloved Rocky. He's a lil' blurry in the pic from trying to calm down from jumping from step-to-step in class. It was all he could do to keep up with Cathe not to mention, he's a bit on the short side so he had trouble seeing her. THANK goodness for mirrors! :7

Thanks for the picture, Debbie! Rocky was not in his element that weekend. He's used to working out in his tree. Maybe Cathe will put one in the room next time.:p
 
See, this is what happens when masochistic squirrels lose their dominatrix - they fall apart, go gray, get fat and stiffen up (in the wrong areas, that is).

Fiona is busy building a side business of E-Torture for the rodents of the upper Midwest. She's checking her Paw Pilot to see if she has any openings for Rocky, but it's not looking promising.

The next Road Trip might be a possibility. I didn't want to be away from DH so soon after his Excellent Adventure into Cardiac-Rehabland, but hopefully next time for sure.
