Hi out there!

What an absolutely awesome experience going to the SD Road Trip!! Meeting with Cathe and chatting, getting photos was just surreal!:eek: She is the sweetest, tiniest down to earth person! It was like takling with a friend or any other Cathlete! The workouts awesome and tougher doing them in person than at home for some reason!!!:eek: Meeting fellow Cathletes - da bomb! :D:D:D

Back in CO, I am totally jet-lagged. Part of it I think is going from sea level back up to 8000 feet. Drinking lots and lots of water, getting fresh air and taking it a little easy today in order to recover. My cardio capacity was awesome in SD!! Gonna start up working out again tomorrow. Today is the laundry & housework workout! Up and down the stairs, getting back into the swing of things.

Anybody else jet-lagged? If so, what are you doing to recover?

Hi Pam!
I was lucky not to be jet lagged! San Diego is still in my timezone. Did we meet? I think I might have met a Pam, but, I kept forgetting everyone's name! I changed my avatar, so maybe you might remember me. I don't see a pic in your avatar.

I loved the RT in San Diego -- what a great venue . The weather, the people, the workouts, and Cathe were all inspiring. Such a fun time!
I'm taking a rest for 3 days(to help my sore knees recover). I'm sleeping sound as a baby because I'm so, tired! I'm not feeling bad about skipping the exercise for 3 days(maybe 4) because on Saturday we had 3 workouts in 1 day! When I begin again, I'm going to do Meso 3 and SC, the last of the 3.5 month rotation! :D

I can send you some contact info and Facebook info of a bunch of people on the Roadtrip, if you'd like. Just let me know!

Jet lag, what's that? ;-)

I'm the queen of getting over jet lag (given I just returned from Japan the Saturday prior to RT and that's a 17 hour time change...easier to go West than East).

Drink lots of water and eat clean. Take melatonin at bedtime to help get back into a normal sleep cycle.

You should be good to go in a day or two I would think.

Good luck and it was nice to meet you.

And, aren't you headed for Italy THIS weekend?
You really get around Lorrayne!;)

I want RT details!! Make me feel like I was there please :D

You asked for it. You got.
First of all it was a blast. I have been to several other road trips and this one did not fall short of Cathe and her staff's wonderful ability to provide an enjoyable experience for all. The hotel was gorgeous and a pleasure to stay at. I think there was just under 100 people attending. At least 4 men were there with their wives and actually participated in the RT activities. Other families had come along (kids and husbands) to just hang out at the hotel or sight see while the Cathlete participated. I would say that most of the attendees were first time road trippers, but there were a number of familiar faces who had been to a road trip before. The workouts were fabulous. They were held in a large conference room with Cathe up on a stage in front of us. Friday afternoon's class was Step and then later Friday night we did a stretch class. In between classes we had dinner out on the patio. It was a little bit cool but since I read the posts on the forum before hand, I had made sure to bring a sweatshirt so it wasn't that bad. After the stretch class, Cathe had a little get together where people could ask questions. It was very personable. Saturday morning was the group photos followed by a class that was 1/2 step and 1/2 kickbox and included some of the cardio blast type exercises from Cardio Core Circuit. After that was a question and answer session with Chris, Cathe's business partner or you could just enjoy time visiting or exploring on your own which is what I did. There were 2 other classes on Saturday. One included lower body blast type exercises and paper plates. The other was upper body conditioning. Both has some cardio blasts mixed in. Saturday night's dinner was out by the pool. After dinner, prizes were given out and we all enjoyed the beautiful San Diego evening listening to the DJ. Sunday's class was Boot Camp on the beach. It was so beautiful to be working out on the beach. After boot camp it was time for the good bye breakfast, where more pictures were taken and info exchanged. Cathe was so sweet through the whole weekend. She was available for pictures and DVD signing etc. I met so many wonderful people. And now looking at the pictures that Cyndi has posted on Facebook and Flicker realize that there were still a lot of people that I regretfully did not get a chance to meet. I hope everyone had as great as time as I did. I would recommend it to any one.
