HI everyone,
I just noticed one tread started "flush fat" I read through it and some how it got switched to a diet topic. And the points made by everyone were very good:)
I bought the SBD book but I quickly screwed up my nose at it b/c I thought it was another adkins diet.PLUS,I didn't think i was aloud to have coffee.I never did finish reading it.I also new that you introduced some carbs back into your diet after two weeks but I don't think I ever got any further then that.(in the book) But now that I have read everyones point on it,I am wondering if I should read the rest of the book and then make a decision about what to do.
I badly need to stop eating sweets and maybe this is the way to go.
I think that I would be tired all day if I didn't have some carbs.Especially with all of the cardio I do.But then there are people who say eating this way gives them more energy. Its hard to understand.I guess our bodies react differently to different things.
Phase 2 looks like something that is very liveable.I think a diet needs to be something that we can "live" with.I feel that we need to be able to pack a peice of fruit when we go to work, not have to cook a peice of meat.
I just wanted to know who was doing it and what phase you started at.I want to know the results people seen from starting at phase 1 v.s starting at phase 2.
Thanks
Lori:)

Not doing it but just finished Atkins induction which is basically the same as South Beach. I lost 16.5 pounds in 17 days (lost before we officially started) on Induction. South Beach looked more doable for me but I really wanted my banana back and even on South Beach I couldn't have it everyday. Sooo I am doing my own thing, but with doing Atkins and cutting out all the sugar and carbs, I have lost my craving for sugar altogether. I still want some carbs back (because the only thing I added back in were my banana and berries for my smoothie):9 So I am low-carbing my own way. On induction beware with all my strength training and cardio, I was tired and light-headed and dizzy much of the time. That is one reason I added back in some carbs, I didn't like being dizzy everytime I stood up or bent over. :-( Because my dh is still doing Atkins I am only having carbs(what few I do have) when he is not home.:) I am still following induction while he is home. I have not lost anymore weight and actually did gain 3 pounds but have lost back a pound and half of it now that my TOM is over:+ . Hoping to at least get back to where I was at the end of induction.

Hope that helps you some:7
