Hello girls,

For the first time in the past 3 weeks I enjoyed my strength training again. Actually, I skipped my strength training for most of this week :( Just couldn't make myself get out of bed at 5:30AM to do it. And I think that is because I have been doing Power Hour and S&H for the past 14 weeks. I guess I burned out on Power Hour. Today I did MIS and really enjoyed it. Now I am always confused about this, but is MIS strength or endurance based?

I think you need some changes in your workouts.... IMHO MIS is rather strenght because of its lower reps. (Do I remember correctly?)
I like MIS too, but now I'm soooo hooked on P90X, at least for a while.
Second rotten day for me, I have this miserable cold, I only rowed for 20 minutes.

Hi there....I agree with Mari MIS is more strength based. And guess what??? I got my P90X box yesterday!! I didn't think I'd get it til next week. Wow....so interesting reading thru it. I wondered Mari, are you doing the rotation and the Nutrition plan? I just started "Eat to Live" to get some more fruit and vegeys in my diet but I know I'll need more protein as I work out so much. I might try Ab ripper today though. Dutchie glad you are feeling better to lift again. It's good to back off if you are not feeling up to par. Sorry Mari about the cold..:(.I hate those and should be knocking on wood as I have been lucky so far this year...knock,knock..:).....Carole
 
Carole. as a matter of fact I don't follow any plan. If anything I may be on the second phase of the "double". I was just way to impatient to wait weeks for different workouts . I can hardly wait that this nasty cold is gone, so I can feel good again and go back to the workouts. Now I feel just like a pile of dog****.
I *sort of* follow the eating, but not too strict. I do use however fitday.com daily.
I do not have a particular goal with this P90X I just simply enjoy it!
What do you eat for protein? I love cottage cheese, that's one of my most important source of protein. Take care

I think I might try to follow the rotation. I will still run but I'm only doing like 20 miles a week. I followed the Zone diet for about 6 years, but it just isn't doing it for me anymore. My diet had gone to hell as I love those bad carbs...chips other munchies like that and too many Michelob Ultra's...:)...I wasn't eating near enough fruits and vegeys. I have added more protein to the Eat to Live diet and am feeling good again. I like cottage cheese (nonfat) too, fish, chicken, turkey and eggbeaters. I also ordered some Whey protein powder to use in my smoothies for some protein. I am meeting some very good friends in LA the end of July for a weekend in Santa Fe, NM to celebrate all of us turning 45 this year!. I am trying to get my body back in good shape by then..:)...have you tried echinacea and goldenseal (herbs) for colds? I swear by it and use it from October to March...hope you feel better soon...:)...Carole
