S&H Opinions / Results?

I have been doing the Pure Strength series for a few weeks now, and am looking for a change (I love the series, just like to have variety). I have been scoping out the new DVDs, and notice the shipping deal for buying other DVDs, so I've been eyeing S&H. I'd love to hear others opinions and results with S&H...thanks.

First of all, how much time do you have to work out? These tapes are very long, and I find it very hard to work them in. The lower body workout in the Legs and Shoulders tape is not so bad because most of the other lower body tapes run about 30 minutes. Even if you split them into a one-body-part-per-day schedule, you still have to allow at least 25 minutes or so for your weight work.

If time is a serious issue, I'd say don't get them. They've pretty much sat on my shelf since I got them. That being said, they ARE good workouts.

My first Cathe videos were the PS series. If you like PS, I think you'll enjoy SH. If building muscle size is a primary objective for you, you'll want SH. Rotating PS and SH will give you nice results!

I get fanfreakingtastic results from S&H.

Not only do I get strength gains, but when I push myself to go as heavy as I possibly can with the weight I use, I mean to absolute failure by the end of the 3rd set, I see great muscle development during the weeks of that particular rotation.

As Honeybunch said, they are long, an hour each, and you can break them down into 30min, doing one body part/week if you have the time to devote to them. I'm fortunate that I do, so the time issue is not a concern for me, but they take major concentration and focus (to really be done right), and having said all this, they are a great investment! :)

I just wanted to add that I too love these tapes. The DVD is great. I never do the third set of each exercise, and this cuts down a lot of time. That said, this series takes a LOT of concentration.

I'll have to think about this carefully because time is always an issue for me...Honeybunch I noticed your comment to the other person looking for a new rotation following PS where you recommended BodyMax. I may give that a try - it's been sitting on my shelf awhile, and I do like PH a lot. I don't feel the need to put on a lot of muscle. I'm probably one of those people that has muscle - it just needs some uncovering - so an endurance rotation would probably be great right now.

I may do BodyMax/PH one week, then do LL/CTX Upper the next, and alternate those. I'm looking for some variety.

Maybe next year when my little one start Kindergarten, I'll feel like I have time for S&H! Then I'll get myself some of those fanfreakingtastic results!

** Now I just saw boxermk's suggestion for getting the DVD - what great idea - now I'm reconsidering again!! **

Thanks,
Rhonda
