S&H Longer than 3 weeks??

Stacy

Cathlete
Hi, I was wondering what is the longest rotation anyone has done the S&H series for. I know Cathe recommends shorter rotation cycles of about 3-4 weeks, but I'm currently into my second week and dont feel nearly ready enough to give it up in another week or two. Any comments/experiences??

Thanks,

Stacy

I got kinda sick of the tapes, but really liked the nature of the workout. I don't feel the same fatigue as everyone else talks about here. Also, I don't get the "concentration" thing either. For me, doing something like PH twice a week would be much more difficult, so this "no longer than 3 weeks" business does not make sense to me. But Cathe is the expert. I figure there is a reason she says what she does. I did S&H for 4 weeks and find myself already trying to work it in to my rotation after only 2 weeks off!!! I like the slower lifting and the stretching in between. I say listen to Cathe though. You don't want to hurt yourself or your muscle gains!!!

I haven't tried this out yet, but one idea I had was to reduce Slow and Heavy down from three sets per exercise to two sets and seeing if I could keep on with it for a longer period of time. I **think** this might cut down on the mental fatigue I experienced with it "as written".

I have also been doing S&H in a one day total body workout with CTX weight work. The results I am getting are awesome. I have the specifics posted on the "Ectochick Check" thread if you're interested. Let me know if have any questions.

Edit: the thread is "Hello EctoChicks" and it's post #14
