S&H Legs/Lunges...63lbs!!!

What?!?!

I started a S&H rotation today. I did BC cardio only (kicked my butt!), then did S&H Legs & Shoulders. Skipped the pre-exhaust & went right into squats. 53lbs for first 2 sets, then upped it to 63lbs for the last set. I was able to finish it, but had to have my DD go get my DH to get the bb back off of my shoulders since I was feeling light-headed. Decided to sit for a few minutes then go into shoulders.

After I finished shoulders, I backed up to S&H lunges, grabbed my bb without thinking and did all four sets before realizing that I didn't take any weight off the bb like I had planned!:D And I didn't even have to call my DH to help me get it off my shoulders!

I feel like SUPER WOMAN!!!!:) My legs, however, feel like jello!

I'm starting S&H rotation this week. That is a excellent idea of putting those two together! Awesome Job!

It was really tough. The BC cardio only, even though it's only like 10 minutes long, really worked me hard even before getting to the S&H work. It went together really well though.

I'm going to try to do short, intense cardio before every S&H workout just for a challenge. Tomorrow I'm doing Chest & Back and I'm going to do Imax 2 "blasts only" before it (depending on how long it is, may just do 1-5 or 6-10) and see how that goes together. Then I think I have HSTA cardio only before Tri's & Bi's for Thursday.

I have a feeling it's going to be a tough week!!! But that's a good thing right?!?! ;-)
 
OK Melisa, how are you feeling today? I'm not sure I could lift 63 pds over my head and I hate static lunges! You go girl...
 
Hi Lorrie. I very rarely get leg DOMS either. If I do, it's in the hamstrings on GSL. I thought for sure I'd wake up this morning not able to walk since this is the heaviest I've ever gone.

Unless of course, VDOMS is in my future per Jody's post, then I'm in for it!!:)
