rythmic step

help. I just tried the video (watched it once and thought - no problem) but it was very hard to stay with the dancy steps. Should I just keep trying or would it be best to stay with the less dancy step routines.

Give yourself some time! Cathe's videos are a blast once you get the footwork down. It's always best to preview the video at least one time through before actually working out with it. From there, you can usually practice or keep rewinding any sections that you find confusing until you feel more sure of the footwork. I have to say that I have a lot of step videos, and Cathe is absolutely one of the best if not the best at giving clear cues and keeping movements choreographed with the beat of the music (I hate when an instructor has a rushed movement which doesn't really fit the music.) Having recently started a running program, I find myself really missing my Cathe cardio workouts (though I get to lift weights with my Cathe weight DVDs)! The thing I miss the most are the moves. They make time fly!

Again, give yourself some time to adapt. I remember thinking certain tapes were very hard to learn, and it was such a blast to come back to them and find myself relaxing and enjoying the choreography because the moves had become MUCH more natural. What's that they say -- muscle memory!

Take care and good luck!

Watch is TWICE at least, is my rule, then if you still can't get some parts, do the tricky parts by themselves until you can get them down. I have trouble with section 3, so I have vowed to do just that. I also have a SLOW MOTION button on my VCR remote, and I'm going to use that.

Everytime you do this tape you will get better at it. It is a super great video. It's very fun and you will get a great work out from it. Like all of Cathy's video's, they are never boring, great music, and I always get a great work out. Don't give up on it.

I think this is the toughest one of all, as far as choreography, I had to do it 5 times before I could hope to get through it without getting something wrong. Keep at it. It's worth it, it's really fun when you can finally get it.

I felt exactly the same the first time I did it. I was regretting doing it again. But, the second time I did it, I hardly messed up. It was like a miracle. I was even able to do the challenge at the end. Keep with it-you will amaze yourself!!
