Hi ladies (and Trevor :))!

I hope I'm not out of line here, but I wanted to let y'all know that I have an almost-brand-new pair of Ryka Stylus, size 8.5, up for grabs. Pricing on request and quite reasonable :) -- I got these when a shoe store closed here last month, and unfortunately after I've tried them about 5 times I've decided they're just a wee bit too short on my foot. :-( Funny, because I've always been an 8.5 in a Ryka (this is my third pair) and in just about every other brand of athletic shoe, for that matter. I've never gone up to a 9. Anyone else had this sizing experience with the Stylus?

I can't return them (obviously) because the store's out of business. If anyone's interested in giving them a good home please e-mail me at [email protected].

So the Stylus isn't going to cut it for me and I need new step shoes -- I don't want to try the Stylus another half size up as I think that would be a little too long. Anyone have another suggestion for a brand and style that you like? I do intend to go to Lady Footlocker to try on shoes, but was just wondering what other Rykas or other brands you folks liked. Does anyone wear Avia or Reebok DMX aerobic shoes? I've heard good things about both -- I haven't worn Reeboks, but wore Avias years ago and liked them, as I recall.

When I find a shoe I like I'm getting three pair! It seems like just when I've decided I love a shoe it gets discontinued!

Any thoughts would be welcome -- thanks folks!

Hi Kathy!

I have a pair of Reebok DMX (can't remember the exact style name) and I really like them. They are very cushiony and great for high impact stuff. They are a little pricey (mine were $90) but IMO worth it. I have a pair of Ryka Re-Evolution but they gave my feet callouses. Try Sports Authority's website - they have a newer version of the Reebok DMX's I have.

I am curious as to why no shoe companies make high-tops anymore, they are all mid-cut. I like ankle support.

Happy shopping!
