Running

Hello everyone!
I just started to cardio exercise again and I have also been weight lifting and practicing yoga for a couple of years now, since I am basically a beginner with running, is it okay to run 10 minutes with interval ( say on the treadmill at 6.5, then go to 8.0) and take a break to weight lift for 30 minutes and do another 10 minutes of interval? will that be as effective as running 20 minutes straight? And is running like that 4 times a week enough to see benefits?
Thanks for your time!

Repeated, short bursts of exercise are still effective, you do not need to do all youer running/cardio at one time, especially when you are starting out and building up your endurance.

As you get stronger, you will of course extend the duration of each session, until you can sustain a 5 mile run all at once, without the second session later on. THis will bring you maximum fat burning and cardiovascular endurance results.

The current style of training you have adopted suits your body and shcedule, stick with it.
